well hey it will be okay. im 13 and im like 5'5 or 5'5 1/2 probably close to 5/6. im kind of tall for my age, but i weigh like 180-185 lbs. i dont really like getting on the scale. i feel the same way as you do. i want to lose about 30 lbs, but i know i have to stick to it. if you really want to lose weight stick to the eating healthy (dont starve yourself, i have tried that and it made me hungry because when you do that then it makes you overeat) and do some excercise. i dont get out alot but i could probably walk around the school at lunch time. i was crying one time because i felt bad about my weight and my sister told my parents and they talked to me and said that nothing was wrong with me, but almost all of my friends are thin and i want to be like them because i want a flat stomach and to be able to play sports without being embarrassed. i can tell you that i dont really have alot of confidence, but sometimes i dont. i hope that you chose whats best for you. But if you REALLY REALLY want to lose weight and be healthy then just excercise and stuff, and if you dont really want to then dont worry about what people say about you, because not everyone on this earth is nice and people just say mean things to others to make themselves feel good.

OK well actually i dont agree with you, i too am 12 years old and i am over weight, i weigh around 145lb. I'm afraid if i dont start loosing weight now ill be like this for the rest of my life. my brother was about 13 and he weighed more than me and he is now 17 and very thin. He also plays football. im homeschooled so i am always working out when i finish my work but still i havent lost something and that has been for at least a year. I started eating all organic and withen a week i had lost 7 pounds but i wound up getting away from that diet and back to my old eating habits. I know im beautiful on the inside and i am not shy about it and i love myself but it isnt a good feeling when you weigh more than your older sister.

wow, i have almost the exact same problem.. im 12. i weigh around the samee. exercising didnt help me at all. instead of none of my clothes fitting, none of them look good.. (:/) i tried a 'crash diet' and it made me feel like crapp. i could be good at volleyball or basketball because im tall (5'8) but im not joining because i think other girls will laugh at me bc im fatt. i get teased too. summer is comin, and i wanna swim mann, LOL.

I was having the same problem about 1 month ago and I am on the way to being SO much fitter and thinner and heres how i did it
1. Get your mum or dad or someone to use microsoft Excel to create a goal saying how much to lose per week and by say summer you should way a certain amount
2. Join the local gym and go there at least 3 times a week wether it is swimming or on the equipmet
3. Eat healther food and if you want to treat your self every so often feel free but say it was a pizza look for the one with the least caliories and see if there is a weight watchers one?
4. Think about what you are eating before you put it in your mouth and ask yourself if it will do you any good (Give you fibre or 5 a day)
5.By a dress or peice of clothing that is the size you would love to be and try it one every couple of weeks and it will start to fit
6. Take measuremets around your stomach, thighs, arms, waist and where ever else you feel like and check back ever month to see if you are getting smaller
and
7. Don't let it get you down it you don't lose each week, (You should weight yourself each week, in the morning before you eat) Just keep going and aim to lose around 2lbs per week or 3-4 if you are bigger (:

hiya i am 12 to i started loseing weight because i wanted to be a model but i know i was to big at first i ask my mum to get me a excersie bike then i went on wikianswers and write how meny calories should a 9 year old girl should comsume in a day so i write it that down in my diary and all the food i eat in a day i will add it up somtimes it went over bored but thats ok also got to more sports clubs and mostly swimming or just do jogging but choose your favorite sport and dont forget to weigh your self like every week
