try to go on long bike rides or long walks it works for me i felt just like u do.

both of these posters are right you have to stick with it and suck it up.If you have any siblings play with them. try to run too it helps u loose weight in all areas. also you are old enough to make your own food and if u family is having a fatty dinner make a salad with chicken and greens it is good for you. Dont just give up i have the same problem but in 174 lbs. and i want to loose weight to and these suggustions have helped me a lot. Good luck on looseing weight!!

I'm 12 also... and I'm a girl! I know you posted that comment a pretty long time ago but I sorta had the same problem! Except, I was 87 pounds. I have a some "flub" on my stomach. People tried convincing me that I wasn't fat, but I didn't beleive them. But, eventually I realized that once you get into middle school (or a little earlier) you body starts to change. Here and there you'll notice parts of your body has gotten chubbier. And, when you want to get into better shape, you still eat. Maybe not as much but you still eat. Or, instaed of that just watch what you eat; like instead of potato chips as a snack try an apple or some celery and peanut butter. Another thing you could do better than excersising is, don't really excersise. Do things you would enjoy doing! You don't even notice that your being active! For example, riding a bike, having races with friends, jump roping, even swimming! Also, doing a sport doesn't necessarily mean you have to be on a team... if your afraid of people laughing at you. You could just continue doing the sport daily, alone or with a close friend or sibling that you know won't laugh at you. Another problem you may have is self esteem. Which means the way you think of yourself in case you didn't know. Tell your self that you can do it! It'll help! Don't give up on yourself. Especially don't give up just because your out of breath or it starts to get hard! (But also don't push yourself too much!)

Hello! Im 12 and weigh about 127lbs,and am about 5'3 when i was 11 i weighed 132lbs, people never called me fat then and now they do:( idk wat i did but when i was 11 i was only 4'9 so i grew and lost weight, now i am trying to be more healthy, i am in swimteam and all the other spots to try and loose weight, and also since i live in the country i can go for long runs without being so inbarresed, so in the evning i run about 10 miles( of corse i stop evey once in a while to walk)and that has helped alot, but i havent done reaserch on this so yea but my goal is 120, i am trying to not eat when i am not hungry but the problem is i am rarly hungry and my mom makes me eat:(

:-@ im also 12 years old and weight almost as much as u ive tryed everything litterly and nothing worked i did try exersizeing for 6 to9 months still nutin and i ate really good all healthy food i wouldnt eat any junk food nutin worked stil and i am trying so hard nutins working i say and the people out there saying were too young too be worrying about our weight u guys need to shut up becuz 12 year olds hav tht insecurity is nature and btw i will worry a bout my weight becuz i dont want to look like an oger ok so dont tell me not 2 worry.

i am 14 and way 216.2pounds and im tryed of being obest my goal at first was to loss 1 pound a day but it is very hard soo im going to try to loss 3 pounds a week ... and i thank inm going to try wht u r doing

look im 145 lbs and actually i've been excersing and if you really want to lose that weight go joging in the morning cuz when you do it in the morning you will lose twice the weight. Just dont give up drink lots of water.

Im 11 and Im working out about 3 - 5x a week and i try to lose 400 cal. each day... i have already lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks due to working out and eating tolipia and salad for dinner.
