i have the same problem. im 12, 5 ft 4 and i weigh 170. that's like the weight of a grown man. i dont feel like it though. i have been doing really well with keeping a journal of how many calories i have had and how much ive been excersizing. it has really helped so i dont go over my limit.

trust me I used to be a girl who had trouble running a lap in gym class
plus I can eat as much as I want as long as its healthy
I've just cut out soda and lowered my sugar and fats
and honestly once you don't eat as much sugar it isn't really that appealing anymore like super sugary sweets oh and what I love about eating healthy is I FEEL GOOD AFTER like when I don't eat healthy I feel sick ish and gross I need to brush my teeth I break out I get cramps I maybe don't go to the bathroom it's just ugh not worth it but please sweeties choose your fat days don't go crazy but you can have them mines christmas and New Years for holidays I have one every week it keeps me from splurging just keep watch on sugar and fats I mean you can have them but try and keep it low and if you really want it fast THEN cut out all white carbs (including pancakes ;( ) replace with whole grain really only 3 meals a day NO snacking (train your stomach and soon enough you won't be hungry enough to snack) portion control, if your stomach shrinks then you just eat less in general (but your exercising so don't wear your body out). DO NOT EAT 2 HOURS BEFORE YOU SLEEP THIS IS VITAL cut back on juices they aren't as good as you think and since it might be hard to get your nutrients which you need honestly just take vitamins etc. replace everything with water it's key it flushed out your system of bad toxins and makes your skin healthier and sometimes even clears your acne! depends though.. if your hydrated you just look better too OH LORDY GET YOUR SLEEP HONEY PIE THIS IS IMPORTANT nap if you have to blah this is a lot alright calories don't matter as much I don't count them
plus the nice thing about this age of 12-14 ish is that you can get in shape fast if you stick to it
if you want anything more specific or tips I'd be happy to help
but one thing that's important to know:
your getting in a HEALTHY MUSCULAR shape for yourself
not for a guy and not for society but the better being of who you are
keep in mind skinny isn't always pretty

by the way if your starting an exercise STRETCH (I learnt the hard way) AND keep hydrated seriously drink 4 water bottles a day (you don't wanna faint)

Well your not alone one this one. My whole family has been calling me fat since I was around 11 and I am about to be 13 in like 4 days :) and I am 148 pounds...My mom tells me that I am fat everyday which is horrible she says she tells me so I know cause she wants me to be pretty and she said I will thanks her someday, well I am trying to lose weigh too all of my friends are thinner than me they are in the 90-120 zone ! So this year I am going to try to lose the weight, so I changed my daily meals in the morning eat the most out of the whole by most I don't mean eat a lot I mean eat till your full so I think you should eat some rice and salmon try to eat less rice and more salmon. Then eat a snack through out the day like a salad. Then in lunch eat some fish or chicken. for dinner try to eat early like at 4-6 because if you eat at night that's when you get more weight.You aren't alone we will work together and once in a awhile treat your self to something sweet. When you want something sweet try some fruits. :)

im 13 and just started a diet trust me...you need to go to the gym make sure everything you excercise is balnced out for example if you work on your biceps you need to work on your triceps or it could be wierd! i lost 10 pounds a month and it wasnt that hard i now have a six pack and can bench 150 and im only 13 it takes dedication your not gunna lose that much weight that soom tho

I have a dancing video games, and it makes it a lot easier when you're excersizing by doing something you want to do, not what you feel like you have to do. Also eat right. Try not as many sweet things, and more fruits. Watere is a good choice instead of sports drinks if you do sports. And like I said, find something you enjoy doing, and you will excersize more!

Well once you grow you loose it off as you stretch so there's nothing to worry about, ok EAT yes EAT but dont eat c**p if your mom has Cheetos and stuff with fructose corn syrup, throw it away im 12 im about 5'4 and im 101-105 depending on the occasion and that's all because my mom only feeds me organic stuff from trader joes, all natural stuff and nothing with more than 8 grams of sugar should be consumed or save it for special occasions. It works and dedicate an hour a day to exercise, try to walk more in the hallways at school and if you want take the long way.
