as a lil girl i remember my grandmother telling my mom that sucking on a piece of lemon will cut short or stop your menstruation...and it does work. ive tried myself and it stopped it for two days

hi yeah, i've done the ibruprofen thing before and it DID work for me, it was reccommended by my doctor as i was experiencing VERY LONG periods. however i remember taking them 2 times a day and for about 2 weeks and eventually my period did stop. baring in mine i was on the verge of being anaemic cause i was on a period for months so i had blood tests and everything -.-
Ibuprofen does not work to stop your period I treid it a few times.
I NEVER TRIED THE IB THING. BUT IMA GIVE IT A TRY 2DAY... BUT I HAVE ALSO TRIED DOUCH, AND MASTURBATION AND A FEW TEA SPOONS OF MUSTARD AND A HOT BATH HAD STOPPED MINES A FEW TIMES.
Exactly. Ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory. Knowledge is power. ;-)
omg, ibuprofen is an anti-inflammatory, so will not stop your periods, and neither will gellatine!! the only way you can stop your period without using birth control is a tablet called diocynone (well thts what its called in the UK)......these tablets work in about 2 days! and i must say tht ive never heard of actually having sex to stop a period (just messier id say).......hope this helps?
acutally ibprofin and asparin are both NSAIDS and have blood thinning effects....
so do any of these work? because i really need to come off my period for new years day/eve, because i'm having a party, and i don't want my period to stop me from having fun..
However advil works too because although it effects one part of the clotting process in your blood it also effects your hormons. Since your blood isn't trying to clot when your on your period this means you end up with a lighter period with fewer side effects (craps, bloating, etc.)
It should say on the gelatin box how much water to mix with it. there are directions right on the box.

Wow.. Your Doctor really said that? I'm hoping the ibuprofen you took didn't have a very high dosage.. Otherwise, I'd say your doctor was pretty damn unethical about the advice they gave you.... The recommended dosage is 800mg (for adults), and the maximum dosage you should take a day is 3200 mg.. It's great not having a period and all, but I can only imagine the sh*t storm you would have to go through for something, say.. stomach/intestinal bleeding, or heart problems, anything of the sort... *shrugs* Just wanted to put that out there..
