how do you tell if your newborn is collic while being weened off methodone??

well i have a baby boy about 4 months old and
he is a real colic baby and i found out he had real bad collic
when he wouldnt burp or burp as much and it just caused
him so much pain i was up all night with him for about a week
but then i tried him on gripe water which is to help bring up wind and
change of formula i found out that realy helps but it wouldnt make it
go completly
