Hi, i went to the doctors about a week and a half ago as a rather large painful lump appeared araound my anus hole. At first it was just a lump... then it became excruciating, that's when i went to the doctors thinking it could be something like cancer, when i was there he literally looked at it for about 2 seconds and said i had a hemorrhoid and that it should heal on its own in a few days or so. Anyway after a few days the pain went however i was still left with the lump, it hasn't reduced in size but is not painful anymore. The thing is that was last thursday, and i had already had it a few days so it is nearly two weeks ago it has appeared and still hasn't gone! is this normal? i thought it only took a few days to clear, I'm wondering if it's actually a cyst?

Any help would be great
