In general, minor burns heal in five to ten days with few or no complications or scarring. Moderate burns heal in ten to fourteen days and may leave scarring. Keep using the ointment and try to supplement your diet with vitamins E and C, and mineral zinc to help your wound to heal faster.

Well the swelling is problematic and in some cases it can last for days, but in some cases it will go away for few hours. It also depends on the intensity of the burning and on the source of the burning. I think that there is a chance that you might also have a scar of the burning after it is healed. Can you tell me what did you do when you got burned? What kind of ointment are you using? I think that ointment that contains Aloe Vera might be very helpful in your case. I had what doctor said was a "flaming" 2nd degree burn from grease. How long can I expect the swelling?
