So I've been having pinkish brown discharge for 2 days & today I had red blood that have have lasted for two days & counting. It's the Feb.18th & my last period was on the Jan. 31st . It's too early to be my period, so is it implantation bleeding ?

you can also spot after ovulation but before your period if you have low progesterone levels.

I've never gotten a positive before 6 weeks pregnant.. I've had two kids now and it takes forever to get a positive result back!! Is that normal??

my wife has a six months pregnanacy than we go for a monthly check up the doctor diagnosis that the baby was abnormal and his brain was not develped and doctor advise us to abored that baby so idont understand what goes wrong?

Hey,

Well I took a test 5 days after my first missed period and it came out negative. It was one of those first response tests so I assumed that it was probably accurate, that I am just skipping a period. I didn't "feel pregnant" either. Anyway the very next day I was sore and had some cramping that lasted a little over 24 hrs. No spotting or bleeding. It's now 10 days after my missed period and I'm thinking I should check again but I'm not sure if I should wait a few more days as I dont want to waste my last test and still be wondering. Any suggestions?

Hi i took ovulation tests and I got a positive on July 1 and on July 4 that evening I had two little pink spots of blood when I used the bathroom. I haven't ever had that before. Not even when I had my first baby. Is it possible its implantation bleeding? My period isn't due until the 15. I wanna take a test but I know its too early. Its driving me crazy thinking about it!

So many similar stories but no one ever posts a reply....grrr.

I am having alot of the same things happening to me...although i had been feeling off for around a week, then the day my period was due i got cramps fairly badly and assumed my period was starting, but nothing, the next day my period still hadnt started, I had been feeling naseous, dizzy, headaches, sore breats etc.  That night I had some brown discharge when i wiped, same again the next day - with a little pink blood, by that night it was gone.  Am still feeling like I am pregnant - its 5 days after the initial brown discharge and I have taken a HPT which came back negative.  Is it possible that this was implantation bleeding and it is just too early to tell yet?? Any information or opinions are greatly appreciate!!

Update:  Just got blood tests back and not pregnant, guess my cycle was just different this time......

Hi everyone, 
I have been a little confused lately with all of this implantation bleeding information. Wanted to see if anyone has gone through something similar. On august 3rd I had what I believe to be an implantation bleeding (brown spotting just for that day). During the next few days I have been experiencing pms symptoms however my period is late (aug.8) Today I have been having a few brownish discharge only when I wipe after i go to the bathroom. Just have been feeling lightheaded and dizzy. I took a pregnancy test this morning and it came out negative. I am normally  very very regular in my cycle. Could I be pregnant? or my cycle just messed up this month?

I think the most important point here is that there is not really any way to tell whether the bleeding is in fact implantation, your period or something else all together that isn't related to pregnancy or your period. So, therefore, it's hard to say how long after the implantation bleeding you should test. If you're experiencing bleeding outside the normal menstrual cycle, you really should wait until after your expected period. You can later look back and say "ok, that was probably implantation bleeding I was experiencing", but even after the fact it's hard to say, because not everyone even has spotting, although is is very common.  I don't think there's any harm in taking the test early, but don't bank on the results until after the missed period and/or some follow up testing or doctor's appointments to confirm.

first of all about 30% of pregnancys have implantation bleeding and if you know what to look for you will know its implantation bleeding so there is a way to tell if your spotting from implantation... if you period was completely diferent and lighter... and pinkish or brownish.. that could be implantation if its 6 to 13 days after conception...and you can test for it with a home pregnancy test about 8 days after implantation or about 4 days with a blood test because the hormones release into your blood before your urine.. so about a week after implantation with a home test and about 4 days after implantation... not conception... so implantation occure abour 6 to 13 days after conception... i hope that answers your questions... i studied this for months

Not always true, because I get cramps when implantation happens.

if it has been 15 days sense you had intercourse and its the day your suppose to start your period is the pregnancy test accurate and if so how accurate

Wow thanks for your post....that's actually comforting. I bought a pricey test that came with three tests, and each were negative. But I'm not supposed to start my period until a week from today. I'm just an impatient person I guess. =)
