Hey guys, i'm sure this problem has been talked about a ton here. I tried to search but the search function was not working.

Last year i did a lot of running. I had shin splints and had no choice but to keep running through them. i stopped running in December and did not run again until the beginning of March in hopes of my shins healing. My shins were BAD, they hurt no matter if i was running or just walking.

So i started running again and my shins are already bothering me again, i feel like they never healed. I have only been running 3 times a week and only going for 2 mile runs. I have tried reverse calf raises, stretching, icing, and pain meds. nothing has helped me.

the pain is shin level but on the sides of my legs. when i run i can feel bones in my modding cracking. if i try to manipulate my ankle joint while just sitting i can feel cracking in my lower legs.

I know i have a high arch so i bought a top of the line cushioned shoe (asics).

is this something i should go to a doctor for?

can anyone give me some tips to avoid this pain?

thanks.
My tips on how to avoid this pain are by strengthening your legs, stretching before and after running, and go see a doctor to have your legs checked. Nothing wrong going to the doctor right?
