My riding speed averages around 20 mph. I manage to keep that pace even on long distances. I am persistent and do no give up easily. I have sour ankle and it keeps me away from my cycling goals at the moment. Should I train through the pain or wait until it passes?
I would advise you to go and see your physician first. Let him examine you thoroughly and see if everything is OK. He will give you recommendation what to do. Anyway, unless it is something totally harmless I would advise you against working out with sore ankle. You may aggravate the condition and make it much harder for yourself. In such case you wouldn’t be able to train for a long time. Isn’t it better to refrain from cycling for a while and make it possible for yourself to continue soon?
