How I got "rid" of mine (this is not a cure, but rather a treatment, which makes the papules extremely less visable):
1. Apply 100% tea tree oil (a few drops) with a cotton swab after cleaning afflicted area, ideally 2-3 times daily - if you do not like the smell or if you don't want people to smell it, alcohol/hand sanitizer works as a drying agent as well. (I have not tried only using alcohol)
2. Keep the area as dry as possible. This can be achieved by taking one square of toilet paper, folding it 4 times in the same direction (hot-dog style) and applying the thin strip of paper around the ridge of your penis head. Pull your foreskin all of the way back (I'm assuming you have a foreskin), making sure no foreskin is caught under the paper and cover your penis head and the paper with your foreskin. (Make sure you have applied the tea tree oil/alcohol before applying the paper.) The foreskin covering your penis head will keep the paper in place.
This worked for me in about a week. I was consistant with my treatment and used a combination of tea tree oil and alcohol. I used alcohol in the morning before class/work and tea tree oil when I was able to stay home and before bed. (overnight) Changing the paper multiple times throughout the day is also necessary to achieve faster results.
After your papules are pretty much invisible, you're going to want to reduce the application of tea tree oil/alcohol because they can really dry your skin and cause discomfort. The paper can still be applied to keep the area dry and used as a preventative treatment.
If treatment ceases, and moisture is re-intruduced regularly, your papules WILL come back. Once again, this is not a cure, though, with consistant treatment, it can make your life a whole lot better.
Note: After showering, dry your entire penis area, which can come into contact with the strip of paper/papules. After drying with a towel, toilet paper works best to soak up any dampness.
Dryness is key!
I'm not sure if the anti microbial properties or whatever has anything to do with the overall success of the treatment, or if it's just the drying effect, but it works for me and I thought I'd share my findings.
Best of luck
