how would you now when you have an infection after an abortion

i know for a medication abortion you run a fever 100.5 or higher. if you have severe adominal pain, dizziness/ fatigue, nassia, diarrea, cold sweats/hot flashes, redness and pain of the genital area, may feel like your heart is "racing". if you have most these symtoms after having a medication abortion go to the dr ASAP!!!! so they may check your blood pressure and can give you further treatment. getting an infection can be serious! even resulting in death.

If you had an abortion than I presume that your doctor has advised you about the recovery. If you have been drinking medications (antibiotics which have role to prevent infection) and if you were bed resting for a certain amount of time like you were probably instructed to do than I would say that the infection is not that likely.

But if you were avoiding advices given by your doctor and if you experience symptoms like the poster above me has already mentioned than you should probably visit your doctor as soon as possible.

I sure hope that you are just scared and under influence of the abortion because it is not easy to deal with it but it is better to be safe than sorry.
