I am going through the same dillemma, my youngest child is fourteen, I had him at 40 years old, due to ill health when I was 46 years old he went into fostering also my 18 year old daughter went to live with my brother at age 10, these health problems have gone now and I have lost ten years of motherhood.
I have met a lovely man who is 28 years old, and would love to start a family again, I would be considered to old for fostering/adoption, we are suitably well off and I would definitely go for IVF, I am a young 55 years old, I look around 40, I know biologically I can not reverse the age clock, but we are both healthy, I long to be able to hold our baby what a joy it would be.
I pray for this miracle every moment of the day, I have been on the menopause for three years, I never thought that I would say but I miss my periods !! Thank you for letting me unburden myself.
Whoever you are I love you, this has been a nightmare for me 53 and no children, it's all iv ever wanted ,I know about dr tilly I follow everything very closely ,did you mean 35 in your post or something else? That's young you must've meant something older ?tell me what ou know, I'd love to form a support group , I live in Portland ,me and am going to join a support resolve group this fall, and I found a counselor who specializes in this, it's a catch 22 I'm single and have been trying to save about 20 thou for donor eggs, but the longer it takes me to save the more I'm in the age group that I'm too old , no one will help! So recently I saw the stem cell research by Evelyn telfer and j tilly saying I may b one day able to use my own eggs yeah! Own dna and it may be cheaper than donor eggs! Iv found some places that help women into late 50s so right now I'm saving for that, but would prefer my own! Time is of the essence! My name is julie please get back to me! I would even volunteer in a trial !
Cool i never knew that
Hello,
I hope this email finds you well. I have been doing some research on single mothers by choice and came across your information. I currently work for Eastern, a New York based production company, and we are hoping to hear from "single mothers by choice" (SMC) on their way to mommy-hood. If you are open to talking about your situation and your experience we would love to hear from you.
We believe that this world of single moms, or women choosing to have children even without potential support, is brave and fascinating and we'd love to research it a bit more with your help.
I hope you are doing well! Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Take care,
Amina

Hello, I agree I started doing fostercare 8 yrs ago' I started out with drug exposed infants
My husband & myself didn't have any real experience, most of them just needed lots of love, patients & nurturing and we had plenty
Of that I stayed hopeful wanting to be able
To one day Adopt one but, it never happened.
In my state they keep these kids in care until
They age out the ones that have no one to
Return home too. I'm still a foster parent I've
Tried mother & baby program it's not for me
I've also tried Theraputic Fostercare for Teens
Now that was interesting!! So my luck never
Allowed me to keep any of these kids Our
Reward is that they never forget you you are
Always Mom & Dad to these kids to this day
We are Still Foster Parents❤️ My sister
In-law was able to adopt 3 from fostercare
So there's always Hope❤️‼️
