I cannot relax my face in public. I squint my eyes until they're practically closed and I scrunch my face. I hate to go out in public because of this. When I am not around other people I can usually relax my face but not always.
Hi EdnUtah!I understand that's not a nice situation. You are not the only person that has issues when being in public. Finding the reason for why it happens is the key to solve the problem. As many other psychological issues that we have, some we are able to solve by ourselves and some we will need help. I suggest you try answering this question to yourself: Why do I do this? what feeling I have in public that make me do this? This is the first step. If you want a more effective and fast way, go to a have a talk with a psychologist. that's what they are there for. to help us understanding our behaviors that we would like to change but we can't. I think I have an anxiety problem. Have you tried relaxation techniques for anxiety?
