mine is driving me crazy to and it feels weird and im tired of it it needs to go away
I've got the same problem. It feels like I have hair in my m9uh and when I try moving my tounge back and fourth I try getting it out it still won't go. I tried everything, gurgling, eating, and more things to get it out but it just doesn't come.
I have had a similar feeling in my mouth now for one week. The sandpaper rough or hairy feeling came immediately after i changed my toothpaste from colgate to crest. I saw some things on line about crest toothpaste causing this reaction. My question is will it go away or is there any treatment?
I feel it on the roof of my mouth and the top of my throat. I got it one time after eating pineapple and onion pizza. Tonight I had a pineapple/onion pizza and I feel it again! As far as I know I'm not allergic to either ingredient but it's happened both times I had this pizza
Try to rinse your mouth with liquid honey. It pulls out thin strings from the tongue and you can spit it off. I suppose that it might be candida or chlamydia. I've invented this method by myself. It works. Once I've used three liters of honey and spit off all of this.
Hi, you replied a long time ago but perhaps you can tell me why you think it's feathers? I also feel it can't be cats... Thanks! Nomi
I have 2 cats and I have the same problem, maybe my mouth is super sensitive to cat fur?
PrincessaRoyce Thank you very much for your response. It kind of makes the most sense. I actually feel mine in the back of my throat and also on my tongue at times. Can't believe so many have this!
I have no cats.
I have the same thing and haven't been anywhere near a cat in months
my 11 year old daughter complains about this sometimes. We're on day 3 of this this time. We have a cat. and 2 dogs and she does have seasonal allergies. She also has anxiety and when she gets this "hair" feeling, she won't talk much because she says she feels like she's going to gag if she does. I will try putting her back on her allergy meds, the warm salt water rinse and making her brush her teeth more often.
It's been a year now that this post has been active, but i'm still gonna give it a try.
I got a feeling there are some hairs in the back of my mouth for three days now. I have no allergies (as far as i know). And i haven't changed any food habits or whatsoever. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow, see what she thinks of it.

Also, I have been around cats and dogs until my 20s, never had any complains. Haven't been around any cat the last few months.
So I went to the doctor today. He took a look in my throat, but didn't see anything. He prescribed me some chlorohexadine which i'll take every day. Next to that i should eat some 'pepper cake' (dutch spiced cake) that gets very sticky in the mouth.
If the symptoms persist, I'll go back and see what's next.

Just started taking Zantrax black today and this hair in my mouth feeling started right after. Maybe it's something in these pills?
