I feel like I'm not here

Hi all
I have been experiencing this for quite a while. I sometimes get a throbbing head and I have this constant feeling that I'm not physically here... like the things around me are happening passively, even if I'm taking part/ participating in them. This sentiment becomes less intense when I take off my spectacles but the feeling is still present nonetheless. Can anyone tell me what I'm experiencing? I'm really worried for myself and I want to start enjoying life rather than let it pass by passively all the time. Thanks.
P.S. FYI, I'm a college student and I gotta admit that I slept only an average of 7hrs a day. But... I know theres a great bunch of schoolmates who have less sleep than me?

Man I have the same problem. It is like you are not fully awake or you have some sort of distant feeling about the suroundings.. There is no magic pill belive me.. however I think that the key is in exercising the right brain wave paterns. That can be done by using eeg feedback mechanisms.. This will definetly help you. Feel free to contact me because I am struggling with the same problem.
Yeah, the same exact thing is happening with me. I'm 18 and I feel like I'm here and know what I'm doing, but I'm like zoned out and feel like I'm not really here and I'm tired no matter how much sleep I get. I hate it and have looked things up and I know anxiety can do that and I have anxiety, but I'm also considering sinus allergies. They can do that. I'm going to get checked by an allergist hopefully soon.

I've had this strange feeling ever since i first tried marijuana around 6 months ago. I go day by day and everything seems to move passively and dreamlike. I find it hard to have a constant conversation and keep concentration because i'm so distracted by this weird feeling. It's almost like i'm constantly high or something. People say it's low blood pressure or anxiety, but i've searched the symptons of these and haven't got any of those? I've been told its by exhaustion as well, and i do only get on average 7 hrs sleep a night, but others at my college get the same and have never been affected by the 'dreamlike' feeling. Should i go to a doctor? I don't know how to stop it!

I have felt like this since i was 14..im 16 now...i feel fake like everything around me isnt really there even though i can feel it... I feel terrible and feel like i might die at any time...im also afraid of death...i dont like this feeling because it consumes me...the only time i dont feel it is when im asleep...I want to be real...but im here yet im not here...i feel pain and hurt, but then its over and it FEELS like it never happened even though it did.
I feel the same!! I know exactly what im doing it just doesnt really feel real! Almost like im dreaming the whole thing. Im terrified I dunno what to do!!
Yup. So im a girl and im 16. I first had this feeling (looking in the mirror and feeling like its not me; feeling like everything is jsut a dream and im not really there; everything feels just stupid and unrealistic; feeling like someone is in my body and im just somewhere deep inside; or feeling like im in the wrong body and at the wrong place) so yeah i had this feeling like 5 months ago. It lasted like 3 weeks, i went to a psychologist and she said that i should take antidepressants. So i did like for a month. And it helped because i didn't feel that way anymore.
But there is one more thing - I spend a lot of time on the internet, watching youtube videos and tv shows. And I stopped doing it, took like some kind of break from my pc, lol. Maybe it also helped.
BUT NOW - I'm having this stupid feeling again.I don't even know anymore. It kinda scares me, but it's good to know that im not alone.
Depersonalization or derealizeation
Hi everyone, i am 22 year female i have exactly the same symptoms and including night terrors. i truly believe that is caused by being pre-diabetic and blood sugar levels not being check. When you have low blood sugar levels you experiance all of these symptoms and more. Maybe you should start monitoring your blood sugar levels for abnormalities.
I think it is caused by traumatic events, I've been experiencing the same for a few years. I'm 19. I think this could be a symptom of anxiety and stress.
I recommend to Get professional help. :)
