I feel like I'm not here

Hi all I have been experiencing this for quite a while. I sometimes get a throbbing head and I have this constant feeling that I'm not physically here... like the things around me are happening passively, even if I'm taking part/ participating in them. This sentiment becomes less intense when I take off my spectacles but the feeling is still present nonetheless. Can anyone tell me what I'm experiencing? I'm really worried for myself and I want to start enjoying life rather than let it pass by passively all the time. Thanks. P.S. FYI, I'm a college student and I gotta admit that I slept only an average of 7hrs a day. But... I know theres a great bunch of schoolmates who have less sleep than me?

Hi Alexandra, I am just reading your post now and am wondering if you have found a cause or solution yet? I have been experiencing exactly how you feel for a while now and was never able to put it into words to search it other than feeling "foggy" all the time.
I feel exactly the same its scary and Weird!
I believe i feel the same way. I am 25 and ever since i was about 14, i felt like i was in sort of a dream like state or i was half asleep and half awake which affected the way i see, feel, and concentration. I got used to it but after a night out drinking and it is now been a week since i drank, the feeling has came back. It's hard to explain but i know im not 100% me. It's like the alcohol affected my brain and i feel lonely, i dont want to walk around because everything seems weird. I just hopei feel better soon, im sick of feeling like this.
How long did you feel like that?Because I drank alcohol and it has been about a week now and ive been feeling weird, like im not all there. Kind of like im in a dream. I too aint gonna drink again.
same with me.i'm 13 ,i'm a girl,i'm pretty young to have this feeling , and it's Horable i cry sometime i thing thank i'll never be able to live my past life again.but i never did any of that stuff i guys it sort of happened my doctor said i was diagnosed with severe anxiety but i know there's something more to it i've been obssesed trying to find what it is i've told some people , that i'm very close with like family. i told my mom she gave me xanax they did make me feel better, but eventually she ran out.But if you feel like some thing like this you could be having this i actually had it today :Simple partial seizures can be subtle. While the person cannot control the seizure itself, he or she remains aware that something is going on. For example, simple partial seizures might cause an involuntary movement of the leg, an occasional sense of déjà vu, or the perception of an odor that isn’t really there.    ***this post is edited by moderator *** *** web addresses not allowed*** Please read our Terms of Use
