I am currently on the depo and I have NEVER had a ultrasound done to check. I had a pregnancy test before I started it and when I was a week late on my shot. Never just to get a New one. I have been worrying if I am pregnant or not...been nauseous And crampy...plus feels like baby movement in my stomach. I just had my baby boy 9 months ago so it might just be "phantom" movements but going to get checked out. Any of you people that have had babies on depo....were there complications with your pregnancy or baby in general?
I would file a lawsuit on that nurse
You'll be alright, I don't think it will harm your baby but if you're worried, you should see a gynecologist.

Well, I'm 18 years old and getting married in March to the love of my life. My fiancé has supported me through this whole situation. I've taken six pregnancy tests with him, they were all negative. I've had a uti for a month and a half without it going away. Within that time is when I've taken all of my tests. I was told that utis can cause false tests if they are bad enough to cause blood in the urine. My mom also made me take a pregnancy test because she's been noticing that my belly is getting bigger and much harder, even though I don't eat as much as I used to and I've held a steady weight since I stopped growing at 12 years old, but I've gained quite a bit of weight and none of my pants fit anymore. I've been having slight cramps in my belly, my boobs have been hurting as well as my lower back, hips, and ribs on occasion. I've also been feeling super sick off and on for about a month. The outside of my nipples are getting darker. My mom made me take my depo shot last night because my pregnancy test was negative. I'm pretty scared and I honestly don't know what to think. I'm so scared and if I am pregnant (which I'm pretty sure I am) then I want my baby to be healthy. Can anyone give me any thoughts or advice? I'm begging!
Did you end up being pregnant? I took a depo shot in August of 2013. In October of 2013 I got the implant, and had it removed in Feb of this year due to my period not stopping. I Got another depo shot on Feb 24th, my 2nd at the end of May, and my last about a month ago. I had one period right after I started the shot. I have not had one since. This past month, I have had raging headaches, heartburn, acid reflux, I'm extremely dizzy when I get up after sitting or laying down, I occasionally wake up to stomach pains, have pressure in my lower stomach, even cramps and I have never cramped, and I started spotting about a week ago. My emotions are also out of control. I have been eating way more than usual and gassy as well. I am also really bloated and my lower stomach is starting to grow. I have lost 20 pounds since I got the shot, why would I gain now? I have had 2 UTIs in the past 3 weeks. I have been peeing a lot more than usual. I have taken 2 urine test this past month, both negative. I went to the doctor last week and they told me I was crazy and that there was no possible way I could be pregnant so they refused to test me. they tested me for STDs instead, all were negative. I know depo can cause crazy symptoms but I have not had any and did not have any until this past month.
Hello I got my first depo shot in December last year, and by the February I started to feel under the weather, I had heart burn, and sickness, so I decided to do a pregnancy test and It came back positive, I was totally in shock! I still don't know to this day how it didn't work I had it within the first five days of my period, and I was definitely not pregnant before having the shot, I had a scan and I was 6-7 weeks pregnant. Why did the depo shot fail?

I also took a pregnancy test and it said it was negative but when I was having, stomach cramps, heart burn, and sickness weeks later I done another one and it came back positive! I also had pain in my legs and my breasts become bigger and looked different! I hope this information helps you!
I also experienced a loss in appetite and my stomach was very swollen! I also had some spotting a couple of weeks before I found out I was pregnant.
I had a positive test, but took 3 more after and they were all negative. So I'm still a little unsure because it's hard to have a positive unless you really are, and I work out every single day and I am steadily getting bigger, which is unusual for me because I am small. Just wish I knew and when I went to the doctor, they wouldn't test me, but that was before I had a positive
Were you pregnant having all the symptoms too but then i got my period for 3 weeks and the symptoms dissapeared
I think you should maybe you should down the doctors and explain your situation! When I found out I was totally in shock as I am only 16 and I've been with my boyfriend for two years and the both of us could not understand how I got pregnant as we waited until I was on the deop shot until we had sex, so now the doctors where I had the shot is now investigating why it went wrong and are calling back all the other shots they have given out!
All my symptoms are gone, besides that I get random stomach pains and eat constantly now. I stay bloated. But I did get another faint positive, so I have no idea. I'm only 17 as well and have only about 3 more weeks Til this 3 months of my shot is over and I am not getting it again
