I had the procedure in January 07. It was much more painful then they led me to believe it would be, I have been having constant neck pain since the procedure. Now I'm noticing small bumps under my skin, which my chiropractor says feel like internal stiches coming loose. Has anyone else been experiencing these things?

Not at all. I thought the whole procedure was a breeze. It took about one hour and I didn't feel any pain. I will be a year post op in September, and I'm still pleased with my results.

Well.........as the "Ole" saying goes......"IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, THEN IT USUALLY IS!" I too believe that it isn't as they make it sound. If when in doubt go back and read above! 8)

#1 IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE ,IT USUALLY IS! Begining to believe that some of the positive replies are from employees of the same comany! I too was contemplating having it done. But after reading some of the problems that some have had I change my mind. My point is......if youre not sure to have it done. Then refer back to number 1. :-D

Well I do hope when the swelling and bruising are gone, you find you are satisfied with the results.

I understand the Life Style Lift just tightens the skin, letting it (tightened skin) hold up the muscle and fat underneath.

If you feel you haven't received proper care discuss it with an attorney after talking to the surgeon who did the 'lift'.

Good luck!!!

Okay...well just because there are positve replies that doesn't mean they have to be from employees of the company. I had the lifestyle lift and I posted many positive replies about the procedure,,does that mean i'm an employee..no! I'm just a satisfied customer.

I weighed out my options before having the procedure done. I choose the LSL for a few simple reasons:

Less downtime for healing less cutting - I had very minimal bruising and swelling, I felt back to normal within a couple of days

Local anesthesia - I felt much more comfortable with this option as opposed to being put to sleep and its possible complications

Trustworthy Doctor - After speaking with the staff and my plastic surgeon I was confident I would get the outcome I was expecting. We discussed what reasonably I should expect from the procedure, risks, etc.

My results are just what I had hoped for. He removed my turkey neck which concerned me the most, smoothed out my frown lines, and did some lipo around my eyes. My results aren't so drastic that people are shocked to see me, but more like they think I've lost weight. Its very natural looking, like me several years in the past.

If you are thinking about it, go do the free consult, talk to the doctor and ask as many questions as you can!

WELL I HAVE TO ADMIT I WAS SKEPTICAL FROM THE START, EVERYTHING WAS A BIT TOO ELUSIVE WHEN IT CAME TO GETTING INFO. THE OFFICE NEAR ME, IN CHARLOTTE NC, OPENED EARLY FEB HOWEVER, I SET UP AN APPT ANYWAY, JUST TO CHECK IT OUT. LET ME SAY THAT I WAS VERY PLEASED! THE STAFF WAS WONDERFUL AND I HONESTLY DON'T FEEL AS IF I WAS MISLEAD AT ALL. THEY DO ASK YOU TO PUT DOWN A DEPOSIT THAT DAY BUT THE FACT THAT IT IS REFUNDABLE AND I ALREADY HAD MY MIND MADE UP, I DIDN'T MIND IN THE END. I AM 59 YRS OLD AND WANTED TO TREAT MY SELF FOR MY 60TH BIRTHDAY, WELL HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME BECAUSE I LOOK WONDERFUL AND IT'S ONLY WEEK #4. EVERYONE NEEDS TO DO THEIR RESEARCH AND TAKE BOTH THE GOOD AND BAD COMMENTS FROM THESE BLOGS, WITH A GRAIN OF SALT.

I agree with you as well. There are definitely some posts in this blog that are being placed by those who have a definite interest in insuring job security. Regardless, there are too many negative reports to ignore. Any business, especially a doctor, that employs high pressure tactics is not professional or ethical. I would rather pay more to be treated professionally.

My sister is considering this surgery , and I thought abt it last yr , I called the phone number (from an ad) and I felt like it was a big secret , I didnt want to drive 2 1/2 hrs to a consultation/seminar if the price was too high from the get go , All I wanted to know is what was the price range , I coudnt get it , nor could I get an answer abt what it involved , recovery time etc. It really turned me off , If Its that big a secret , I am scared and I don't trust the people thatare involved in this , I am sure it has everything to do with the particular Doctor that does the procedure , some good some bad ,, But I will pay a few extra dollars and speak to a plastic surgeon and KNOW what is gonna happen before and after the procedure..

I came across this thread while researching the LSL for my mother. I have to say that I am sooooo utterly confused by most of your posts...lol

Let me see if I get this... If someone had a good result from a procedure and you did not (from the same procedure), then they are scheming and are working for the company to endorse a product? Are you serious? LOL Do you know how silly that sounds? Think about it...lol "A hand full of people had a positive experience with something, so they obviously have investment in the company because I did not have a good surgery..." Give me a break! It has everything to do with each individual surgeon--not the procedure and physician's who perform that procedure as a whole!

Also, I would think that if one had a questionable experience with a doctor's office of ANY kind--not just a plastic surgeon--that they would consult another doctor before having ANY type of surgery performed!! You don't just trust someone because you "ASSUME" that since they are a doctor they know what they are doing. I think I would have found out myself if they were board certified BEFORE I had surgery performed by them--not after the fact. And then after finding out, I wouldn't have let him do 2 more surgeries on me that he could possibly screw up too. Just PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do your homework people & stop blaming your own poor judgment on other people or a particular procedure.

I had a non-plastic surgery that I researched for over a year before I actually had it performed. If it took me that long for that, I can't imagine how long it would take me to actually pick out a plastic surgeon to have something cosmetic done...lol Those who just rush into something usually regret the outcome & wish they had researched it more after the fact.

This is not meant to blast anyone in particular, but for the love of Pete, don't blame a poor result on the procedure itself--blame it on the surgeon performing it, the first assistant stitching you up, and the lack of information you obtained before having the procedure.

We will continue to research this procedure and find an appropriate and certified surgeon who has her best interests at heart--not his/her own.
