I Had Three Abortions! Am I at risk of infertility?

 Abortion isn't easy and only 1% of all abortions are from rape. And there are so many people who want to adopt. Why not help them become parents? be a good person.

I think your opinion on an abusive relationship is ignorant. How easy it is for you to say you should have left sooner. If you have never been in an abusive relationship or been trained in dealing with victims of abuse then you should NEVER make such a ignorant comment. It takes a lot of guts to leave an abusive relationship regardless of how long the relationship has lasted. Abusers may threaten to kill you, people you love or guilt trip you by saying they will kill themselves. Abusive relationships are more complex than most people know, so don't you dare say you should feel bad for not have leaving earlier. Even if you have experienced an abusive relationship, you have not experienced what Guest 2010-11-07 went through. You should be appalled by what you put. If your going to comment on a topic so sensitive as domestic violence, then at least have the sense to have the knowledge behind you before making such insensitive remarks!! ... duh


as for abortion, my friend has been through an abusive relationship and is in the process of leaving, she's had three abortions and has found out again that she is pregnant. Doctors say that if she has another then she is 70% less likely to get pregnant again, is this true?

without being rude, pro choice pleas don't reply, my friend is not evil for having abortions or not being emotionally strong enough to have a child adopted.

I had an abortion a few weeks ago and notices smelly discharge almost like puss, but no fever or extreme pain. Is this normal? After 2 weeks it stopped is that normal? or could that be a sign of a massive infection leading to inferillity?

This information is very helpful! I had an abortion almost 3 weeks ago and on the second day notice some puss like discharge but i didnt have a fever or any pain. Is this normal? is this symtoms of an infection that can lead to infertility? The discarge has stopped it only lasted about a week. Is that normal?

I have to agree with the above.
I used to think there was no worse thing than getting an abortion and that's why when I was actually faced with the option myself (perhaps it was following lack of attention, carelessness or just an accident) I had the hardest time of my life. Caught between the pros and cons and eventually pushed by life's difficulties to actually get the abortion. It was a journey so dark at first, whilst getting over it, but today I am amazed myself at how well I recuperated mentally (which was my greatest worry). And! Just when you'd think if you went through this and it was as traumatic as it was for me, can you believe I am pregnant again, with unwanted pregnancy! Well... this time, I am stronger, very lucid and I can see so clearly that it is not the right time to bring a baby to this world. We would have to struggle a lifetime and I will have another termination.
Goes to prove you can get pregnant after an abortion and it for any reason you cannot, it will most surely be for other health issues.
I had endometriosis before my first termination and after developed adenomyosis. I cannot blame it all on the abortion because God let me live and he must have done so for greater purposes.
There are more ways to look at a religious approach to such issues - let's not forget we were thought God is all forgiving and NOT judgemental.
Courage ladies, we must do what we can to live our lives as we find suitable ourselves (not anyone else).

Maybe if someone's main concern is whether or not another person's legs are closed, that person should get a life. As for the adoption comment, there are way too many children in state care as it is. Also, overpopulation is a real concern. There is nothing wrong with a woman choosing abortion. Don't ever feel guilty for what you decide to do with your body.

So if you was raped, you should have a rapist baby? No I would abort it. People always talk about people having all these kids and use taxpayer money to take care of them, I don't understand why women can't get abortions without being judged! If your not finacially ready to raise a child, why have it? And alot of women dont believe in carrying a baby to term, and then just "give it up" for adoption. You must not have heard about what many adopted kids go thru. I would abort anyday before I bring someone into this world and leave them with all those mental and physical hurt of being adopted.

You anti abodtion guys make it sound like one is actually killing a LIVING baby! Abodtion is literally just a huge clothed blood. If you're having a 3-6weeks old abortion. That's not KILLING A BABY. everyone don't gotta have babies all over the place! sh*t happens, mistakes happens and sometimes people are not just ready! How about that? No one likes to go through abortion, it's mentally, physically and emotionally draining!!! Me for example! I stopped taking BCP cause it just never worked for me! I still got pregnant when I wasn't ready 7 times with my husband! Thinking wheeee I'm freee on BCP! 2! I'm allergic to condoms. I always have rashes on a big pimple on my vagina after condom, sex is also wack with condoms. 3! I thought I knew so much about my circle n when I ovulate etc! BUT! Do you know that I've conceived 2ces! Just 3 days after my period? I'm very calculative. Sometimes I ovulate right after my period. Other time I'm fertile when I'm not supposed to be! So that's my story! sh*t happens! Everyone's body is different! Stop crucifying people!

Have you done surgical or medical abortion?, as surgicalabortion is complicsted and some women get infections on reprductive organs.It depends on how your body is now after three abortions. IF your body as recuperated well than you can have pregnancy again.

Often times bacterial vaginosis can result from an abortion (BV can also be caused by unprotected sex). Bacterial vaginosis is characterized by a foul order & sometimes unusual discharge (but not pus). BV is essentially an imbalance of ph within your vagina that can reoccur again & again. If left untreated, it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease which leads to infertility. While pregnant, if BV is not treated, it can lead to premature birth. BV can only be properly diagnosed & treated by your gynecologist. Every woman should be screened for BV post abortion, symptoms or not.
