I developed what I am pretty sure is eczema a year ago. It started on my buttox, then spread to my hands, feet, and chest. It's now covering me head to toe. It isn't very visible, but the itching is intense. It only really becomes visible after I start scratching, they split and excrete a clear liquid and blood. The spots take a long time to heal. I am visiting a dermatologist soon. From what I read I will probably receive a steroid of some sort and a hydrocortisone cream. My advice for clearing the symptoms:
Take zertec, it's an over the counter allergy medicine. For me, the only thing that stops the itching.
Take cold/lukewarm showers, hot showers will dry out the skin. Try using perfume/dye free soaps. Pat the skin dry when done.
Perfume/dye free everything. My symptoms lightened a noticeable amount when I did this.
Relax!!!!! Stress makes me break out more than anything, I picked up yoga, didn't help my eczema too much, but it has definintly helped me stressout less about it.
I will post an update after i go to the dermatologist. Good luck everyone.

Not sure if this has been mentioned already, but raw, organic apple cider vinegar washes have helped me immensely. I fill a glass a little more than half way with warm water and then add the apple cider vinegar until the glass is full (shake the bottle first, so the vinegar gets cloudy). Then I pour it over affected areas while standing in the shower. I get immediate relief from itchiness. I like to follow up with a cotton round soaked in tea tree oil (dabbing affected areas). I let my skin absorb that for a few minutes before applying coconut oil (or use an oil or body butter of your choice). Do this twice a day for a few days and then once a day until your skin heals. This does not cure eczema, but I believe the itch relief allows your skin to heal. This is the only thing so far that has provided immediate relief from itchiness.

Hi dianemarie30360826. I have the same issue. Derms just act like it is normal (I personally think it is rare to have it everywhere). I never had it until 40 and it started out small and now is everywhere. Unlike other people that think food might be the reason they developed this disease, I am pretty sure I have leaky gut syndrome and toxic liver overload from excessive drinking. I quit for two weeks and it completely cleared so I am going to try for a bit longer and see what happens. I can't give up my booze, but if I am right on my theory, I need to cleanse my liver and repair my gut and when I go back to drinking, it will have to be on a much less frequent basis than it is now. In your case, you might have suddenly become allergic to foods that you have always eaten. Sucks, but if you look up the wealth of information on this horrific disease that is the case for a lot of people and you can find a list of foods eczema suffers usually are or become allergic too. I know this probably wasn't too helpful other than letting you know you are not alone in terms if it being everywhere. Good luck!

I am been very focused on clearly up my eczema later. I have removed fish oil (because I have a food intolerance to it), added D3 5000iu, take a swim in the pool (chlorine helps), and spent 8-10 minutes in a tanning bed 3x a week. I finally feel good. 90% of my spreading eczema has cleared up and the internal itch is 85% gone.

Good luck
