eczema is often caused by a combination of stress, improper immune response, weak microbiome, and improper skin pH (pH 4 to 4.5 is healthy)
you can buy pH test strips and test your sweat.
immune response, skin microbes and skin pH all go hand in hand.
cocoa butter is the best moisturiser in my experience (rich, light, very absorbent, closest to skin oils) Palmer's brand is good but otherwise go for pure raw cocoa butter, other brands have loads of additives.
I get eczema if in contact with: laundry detergent, perfume, cleaning products or commercial soaps and cleansers.
I wash with goat's milk soap which is a true soap (not like most commercial soaps which are actually detergent not soap.)

eat LOADS of fruit and veg, drink lemon and honey in warm water, expose skin to early morning and late evening sunlight.

have skin contact with earth (I know this sounds weird but dirt has microbes in it that are proven to defend skin against pathogenic microbes and regulate immune response)

take baths with a cup of apple cider vinegar in each bath - then dab self dry or air dry (will itch like mad so prepare yourself.)

yoga REALLY helps with stress.

having sustained all of these I've managed to reduce my eczema so I now only have to moisturise regularly. as long as your immune system and skin microbes are happy and calm they will protect your skin.

this is exactly what happens to me! no body i have been to can seem to help in any way other than prescribing topical creams that dont help in the long run. Im 17 and have had severe eczema all over my body and it has become so bad that my skin is constantly open and weepy everywhere and it has been like this for over 3 years and i just want it to go away so i can be normal and feel pretty. If anyone has any advice or anything that could help it would be much appreciated

My husband is 65 yrs old and has eczema all over his body. We have spent so much money on prescriptions that are a waste of time. His will heal for a few days then come back even worse. We bought organic coconut oil in the baking section of grocery store a few days ago and applied it faithfully 6 times a day. He has improved and it helps with the itch. I saw this as I was searching for home remedies.

hi i am 13 also and i deal with eczema covering my whole body as well. I've had eczema since i was 2 so i know what it is like. i also have to wear long sleeves wherever i go because it cause to much pain for my skin to hit the air. i also can't shave at all because i have open sore all over my body. i have found that taking baths in 2 cups oforganic unfiltered apple sider viniger and half a cup of sunflower seed oil every other day for a half a hour helps greatly so i do encourge you to try. when you first start taking the baths hey are a bit painful but after a while i doesn't hurt that much. use lukewarm water as well.

Hi! Ok, so I had never had eczema either until recently. I too, eat well, and exercise regularly. Stress level is always high, so doc said i need to figure how to lower that. I went to the dermatologist, and they gave me topical cream. Problem with at is that is the application. The eczema was on my arms back chest, moving down. The topical was supposed to go on in a thin layer. I kept putting too much on apparently. Then I couldn't reach my back. The topical only seemed to work in certain areas. I hate chemicals, and not patient enough to keep using the topical, so I did some research. Turns out coconut oil worked like a dream. Yes, I put it on and looked like someone dipped me in a tub of oil, but it worked. Put it on heavy. You WILL be oily as hell for the first day or two, but it works. And it stops the itching. Good luck.

I have itchy spots all over. I have tried everything including the strongest steroids. What has worked for me is gold bond foot care cream. Not sure what is in there, but it takes the itch away. Once the itch goes away the skin can heal.

Hi, I have a similar problem. I've always had eczema, but this is out of control. It's all over my body, except my face. I itch till I bleed. I bleed through my clothes, and my sheets, and there are little flakes of dry skin and scabs all over the floor and sheets. In the past I got a cortizone shot and that worked great! I looked amazing those next few months, but then it came back and now it's all over. I've tried all the steroid creams and they don't really stop the itch. I've tried epsom salt, baby powder, calamine, (which does stop it but only temperarily) Coconut oil, mint oil, B12 vitamins, everything! I wish someone knew a cure. Is it something I'm eating? Do I need better circulation?

Hi, I'm 16 and I've been dealing with ezcema full body since my freshman year I've high school. I've had an entire full body staph skin infection before. Right now I still have it and I'm itchy but it isn't as bad as before. There is this method I've been wanting to try that is according to a diet where you eat foods according to your blood type. I will try it in the future but maybe it will help you. If it doesn't at least you have a good body cleanse.
