hi can any1 help me.
ive had the implanon in for nearly 3 years and its due to be removed in april. but i had a really odd period the other week which only lasted to days. i rang the doctors and they said its due to the implanon running out, even though its not due out til april. i wanted to know what are the chances of me getting pregnant seeing how the implanon is not working as it should do???

Hi Emma! Implanon can be SLIGHTLY less effective at the end of it's run! Keeping in mind that Implanon is 99.95% so even SLIGHTLY less you would be looking at 99.9% pretty good odds! Also they HAVE to remove it by the end of 3 years or it can cause irreverable effects! So don't worry OK? And in the mean time - if you are worred just have your partner use a condom!
