So I am 30 yrs old and have never had a reg period growing up about 5 months ago I started my period not knowing what the outcome was gonna be.....I have been on and off (way more on) my period for 5 months I can't tell u how many diffrence kinds of birthcontroll I have been on . They have done ultrasounds biopsy and still can't figure it out or even get it to STOP . I have been diagnosed with pcos and do take metforman but still nothing. Anyone going through the same thing??? I am desperate!
Im 19 and I started my period in late July. It's late November, and I'm still on my period. I went through my bathroom cabinet, and I contained 4 empty boxes of tampons and 2 empty pad boxes. I haven't had a single day where I wasn't bleeding. I wasn't very worried, until my mom told me our family has a long history of polycystic ovarian disease, so I'm getting checked out in a couple days. Granted, I was on depo for half a year and had 1 very brief period in that time span. So it could be that my body is freaking out hormonaly. I'll leave it for the doc to decipher.
I have the same problem and it's scary I don't know what to do. For the past 4 years my period is not regular. Sometimes I have it 5 days every month (normal), but most of the time it's all missed up, like I don't have it for 3-4 months then have it for 5 days. But this time it's different, I have my period for 6 months STRAIGHT!! I'm only 17!! I'm a really stress teenager, I think a lot, too much(I feel like my brian going to explode!), I don't sleep well (like only 5 hours) and i don't eat well too, I'm really skinny and small. i weight 41 kg. Is that something to do with my irregular period?
I am going through the same thing - however I am 30 and have had two children. I had my daughter 9 months ago. About 3 months ago my period started and hasn't stopped. The worst part is its extremely heavy and there are very large clots. I've been bleeding right through a super plus tampon in under a half hour for sometimes three days consecutively.
My doctor said it was a hormonal imbalance and suggested I get the mirena IUD inserted. I have not done that yet as I'm not too into the idea. The iud supposedly lightens and even stops your period for the three years it's inserted.
I also have a wheat gluten intolerance and my naturopath suggested I stop eating gluten again. Has anyone tried that? If you're desperate enough like I am, you may want to cut out gluten for a few weeks and see if that has any effect on the bleeding. Believe it or not, if your intolerance is high, it could cause such side effects as excessive menstrual flow.
Anyway I have no end all answers now, but hope I offered some suggestions!
Ive been bleeding since i had my twins 3 years ago. Went to see my gp and the only thing thats helped me in the past is the pill, helps get your body into a routine. Ive been on the rod implant. For 3 years also and im assuming the bleeding is a hormonal imbalance and should return to bleeding normally when the implant is removed in the next few months. Hope this helps.
Hello I'm about to turn 23 and have been dealing with the same thing as all of you since I was 15 I've been told there is nothing wring with me I've been told I don't ovulate and a couple other things but the only thing I can truly tie back to all of this and I have to ask all of you that posted here did any of you get the HPV shots??
Do not gt Morena IUD I had a lot of complication and came out pregnant!
I have been going for six months now. They put me on the pill a month ago. The first week went slow and then after has been worse then before.
This is happening to me right now. It's freaking me out. It seems to be on a break for today, but if history repeats itself as it has for the last three months, it will be back tomorrow heavier than ever. I'm starting to get weak and tired all of the time! I'm right around your age, too.
I have the same symptoms as well. I have endometriosis and PCOS. I get Depo shots and it takes care of my periods. Meaning as long as I am on the shot I don't get my period but as soon as I forget or lapse in it, my periodcomes back with a vengance.
I'm 25 years old and I've had my period every day for the past 3 years. I've picked up a lot of weight over the years so I think that could be the reason. I've gone to the clinic a few times during my first year but they told me it would go away. It hasn't yet, I don't have medical so I don't want to pay a bunch of medical bills. I don't bleed heavy everyday but I do bleed a good amount everyday.
For the past couple of years I'll be on my period for six months straight. No breaks. And on heavy days i literally have over filled one of those disposable menstrual cups. I have been on birth control. No luck. Even on a pill that stops bleeding (even for people who have bleeding after an operation)& nothing. My hormone levels are normal (had blood work done)
It's so strange some days i wonder if I'll bleed too death :/
did you ever find a solution to this problem i feel your pain and im just wondering if anything has gotten better?
It is crazy. I go through 6-7 months of steady bleeding and extremely heavy and no breaks. I've changed tampons up to 4 sometimes 6 times in one hour. I can bleed and be like a horror scene in my bathroom. I miss sleeping as I'm up during the night couple times. My hormone levels are fine. Iron in low (which is too be expected considering) i look forward to the 3-4 month of period free. Even though it isn't because i fear it'll start any day.
If anyone has similar experience please tell me i am not alone. Would love to have an answer for this. I'm sure feminine products love me though as i help keep em in business for sure haha...usually 300 products or more within two weeks..no joke :(
Same here and I'm 18 years old i am still on my period today and it has been 6 months now and I am about to go to Galveston for a vacation. I am freaking out about this because I don't know if it's normal to have it that long or not and I just want my period to end and I don't have to worry so much about it too :(
