Hello everyone...

Two weeks ago, on Tues May 7th to be exact, I had sex with my boyfriend; When he pulled out he said he might not have pulled out in time and he noticed I was bleeding. :( My period started... I had a normal period... same as always, heavy & five days, o.o (I know... lol sucks) and I have not experienced any pregnancy signs, other than dizziness, and nausea. I know that most people say to wait two weeks to take a test and I plan on buying one today. I digress... I would like to know if there is a possible chance I could be pregnant? I need advice. :)

Dear JDGirl

Whenever you have sex there is the possibility of pregnancy. However the chances are extremely low.

You need to wait 3 weeks from intercourse before taking a test to be certain.

  1. Sperm can live in a woman's body for up to 6 days (until 12 May)
  2. If ovulation/fertilisation was 12 May, Implantation could occur 21 May (+/- 3days)
  3. Ovulation 12 May points to potential period start 26 May
  4. 2 days after 'missed' period start = 28 May - suitable home test day

Hope this helps
