I am Stage IV cancer patient and have been taking Loratab for over 4 years for body pain and aches. I only take one every morning to get my body going, after that I am fine. Seldom have I ever had to take more than one a day. Also, there are many days I do not have to take any. I have gone as long as 2 weeks without having to take a Loratab. So, I do not understand how they are so addictive. For me, Loratab has not been addictive, but rather the only pain medication I have found that actually gives me relief for my body and bone aches from the cancer. I have also found that Loratab actually gives me energy. I do not know whether this is because it supresses my pain or what. I have tried oxycontin, morphine, etc., as they will give a Stage IV cancer patient pretty much what they want. I do not like the feeling of being "drugged" (so I do not take the others) in order to relieve pain, Loratab does not give me this feeling, it actually helps me to be more alert and not sleepy at all.

So, I am confused about all the talk about addiction on here. For me, it has not been addictive, but so very helpful. Understand, I have been using this for over 4 years now and can go without it with no problems.

Try going without for more then 48 hours i guarntee that you will feel withdrawals. But thats awesome the other drugs you named are really heavy (so is loratab but not nearly as much). I hope this medication will give you pain relief while not making you up the doses or becoming addictive. I truly am happy for you, wish i could find my wonder drug. I use norcos which are just like lortabs. I only take 4 a day and they give me more relief then the morphine and fetanyl i was on. I wish it wouldnt make me so tired all the time.
