I have the same itchy bumps on my shoulders upper back and chest and they always disappear along with the itching and redness about two hours after I get out the shower. Although they are mainly just on my upper back. I looked some stuff up and found that it may be a type of fungus that grows on every bodies skin but some people's just gets out of control. It's nothing to freak out and go to the hospital over. Wait until you can get an appointment to your doctor and if he or she can't help you then they'll simply refer you to a dermatologist that can help. If you don't have insurance than go to your local health department, but make sure you do seek medical attention. If you really just want to avoid the doctor then go get a new water filter for your shower because water is horrible on your skin and hair. Hot water opens your poors up and allow all the crud the water has to get into your poors which can very well be causing it. But the only way to tackle a problem head on is to know the cause... once you know the cause find a solution... and your doctor can perscribe you some strong benadryl that will keep you from itching if it really bothers you like it bothers me. So please go see your doctor if any thing they can atleast help a little. Good luck!!:)
