This is real, never experienced this with any other laptop though. Whenever I'm laying on my bed and put my Macbook on the top of my stomach I start to feel something that's hard to describe, it's a like my body was burning from the inside.
This is really starting to concern me.

Ok, I'm glad people are becoming aware of this now. There are people out there, myself included, who are very sensitive to electronics. The electronics have the same effect on pretty much everyone, but some sense it in their bodies more than others. The ones who can't feel it would probably just get cancer down the line and not know why.

I'm very sensitive, so if I have my laptop on me for the briefest moment, I feel nauseous and feel the onset of a lethargic feeling within 5 seconds... and so I would never in my right mind put the laptop on my lap or on my stomach or anywhere like that. I can also feel the wifi in my house, I find I sleep better when it's off at night.

The medical profession doesn't know about this, but I was reading this thread and there is even a doctor (on page 3 I think) who suffers pain when his laptop is on him and admits his profession doesn't know about this.

There are certain things electrically sensitive people have confirmed work to reduce the negative effects of electronics/wifi etc. And the medical profession would think it's pure quackery... but these are the same people who deny that the laptops are causing you any harm, so don't mind them. One thing I can recommend is "Orgonite" which is basically resin mixed with metal and quartz crystal moulded into various shapes. This works as an energetic barrier between the fields of your electronics and your bio energetic system. Orgonite is available online to purchase but you can make your own, just ensure you do a lot of research. I can confirm it works very well with electronics, I always have some on my laptop and carry a piece in the pocket I have my mobile in.

I found this thread because I get localised pain in my left thigh when I use my MacBook Air with it resting on my lap. The device doesn't get hot. Reading everyone else posts I think they should stop calling these things laptops.

I had a prolonged burning sensation in my left breast when using laptop or tablet. I went to see a specialist and was told that I have a cyst in my breast/

Then don't do that. I passed the link to this thread to Apple, I hope they are investigating.

When I put my wrists down on the edge of my laptop's keyboard, they start stinging. Kinda like acid or electricity. And it burns. It's not something you can ride with, it hurts more and more and is kinda unbareable. Now, when typing, I keep my wrists and arms elevated. I noticed my advisor at school do the same, where she would type with one hand and hold it with the other. She says that it feels prickly when it rests on the edge of the laptop. Kinda nice to not know I'm the only one. But one thing that helped is putting somthing flexible on the edge of the laptop and then typing. For me, it doesn't take away all the pain, but it helps.

I cant go out anymore due to this. the sensitivity which has been a nightmare for me and my family. All started with a laptop and then progressed. Be careful you do not get to my stage.

For me when I have my laptop on my lap my knees hurt so bad, it feels like knives are stabbing into them. It's mostly just one knee and it's gotten so bad I couldn't walk. I hurt so bad I didn't feel like getting out of bed and didn't use my laptop for several days and it got better. So then I started avoiding placing it on that knee and also putting a folded blanket between me and the laptop. Now it's happening to the other knee even with the padding between.
