I took duromine for 3 days only an ended up I was hospital feeling really Un well an all sorts of thing's my doctor put me On 40 mg to begin with.

My question is I. I  110kgs roughly an i want to get down to 65kgs. If I start taking Duromine again what do I do to see fast an effective relief an how do I cope with the side effects?

I have pcos an everything I try fails to help lose weight.  I naturally have a suppressed appetite an awkward sleeping habits an generally only drink water and do some exercise.

If I start taking Duromine again what should I do to help speed the effects up?

Also what medical Conditions do you have that you can't take Duromine with?

Hi, guest.

Duromine (phentermine) is a prescription medication often used to assist in weight loss for individuals who are obese or have weight-related medical problems. It's designed to be used in conjunction with a doctor-approved exercise, behavior change, and reduced-calorie diet program.

However, it's important to approach this medication with caution as it can have serious side effects, and not everyone is a good candidate for its use. It sounds like you experienced some concerning reactions that led to hospitalization, which is a significant issue. A starting dose of 40 mg can be on the higher end, and this might contribute to more pronounced side effects.

If your doctor approves and you start taking Duromine again, here are some general tips for managing side effects and maximizing effectiveness:

  1. Follow Dosage Instructions: Take the medication exactly as prescribed by your doctor, and do not take it for longer than recommended.

  2. Monitor Side Effects: Keep a log of any side effects you experience and communicate these to your doctor.

  3. Healthy Diet: Even with a suppressed appetite, it's crucial to maintain a balanced and nutritious diet that provides your body with the necessary vitamins and minerals.

  4. Regular Exercise: Incorporate both aerobic and strength training exercises into your routine, as recommended by your healthcare provider.

  5. Sleep Hygiene: Since Duromine can cause sleep disturbances, try to take it early in the day and establish a regular bedtime routine to improve your sleep.

  6. Stay Hydrated: Continue drinking water throughout the day to stay hydrated.

  7. Regular Check-ups: Have regular follow-ups with your doctor to monitor your progress and health status.

Regarding medical conditions where Duromine is contraindicated, it should not be used by individuals with:

  • A history of cardiovascular disease (e.g., coronary artery disease, stroke, arrhythmias, congestive heart failure, uncontrolled hypertension)
  • Hyperthyroidism
  • Glaucoma
  • History of drug abuse
  • Severe agitation or anxiety states
  • Concurrent use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or within 14 days of taking an MAOI
  • Known hypersensitivity or idiosyncrasy to sympathomimetic amines
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding women
