You are not fat- not by any known standards. You are a tall girl and 120 pounds are perfect for you. Don't forget the body structure- you may be the so-called "pear" shape- when the bottom half is thicker and the top half of your body is thin. Plus don't forget that you are only 11- your body will change in the next 5-10 years. The important thing is to have a positive and realistic body image and try to eat healthy and make physical activity your daily routine. That way you will never have weight issues.
First of all your only 11 and should not be that concerned with your weight!!! Sounds to me like your average size for your age and you shouldn't be too hard on yourself. I am betting that your one of your only friend that weighs more than 100 pounds, right? So that's why you are concerned. I remember hitting 102 pounds in like 7th grade and I thought I was so fat. I wasn't. About 5 years later I realized that I wasn't fat at all. Your at a time in your life where your going to be very self-conscious about your looks. It is natural. But don't get wrapped up in it. If you are naturally very tall, remember that your bones weigh more, and you have more muslces, blood and fluid and all that in your body - more than a shorter person would. If this is the case, you can't do anything about that. I am only 5' 5" and 26 years old. I won't be getting any taller, unfortunately. Weighing 160 pounds and I look very healthy, fit and slender. If I weighed 120 pounds I would be a tiny stick person!!!! Your body ischanging, and asthepreviouspostersaid, give it time. If your worried than just make sure to be active on a daily basis, running around outside, climb some trees, or go for a bike ride with your friends. Your young, so you haveagood metabloism, but you have to help keep it strong by being active. Don't just sit around playing the computer, texting or watching tv all day (if you do those things). You will see huge changes in your body in the next few years. It is all natural. You worry me alittle when you joke about starving yourself. Starvingyour body will only makeyour fat. Itis true. Your metabloism iswhat control how much fat yourbody burns off. The less you eat, theless energy your body has in order to complete it's regularjobs like breathing, your heart beat, creating bloodcells to fight sicknesses, and the energy you need to feed your muscles in order to move. If you don't eat enough you will become weaker, may damage your body very seriously, and will gain weight because your body will be afraid it won't be fed ever again and go into apanic mode - it will store ALL of the calories you do eat on your body (adding more weight) because it won't know when your going to feed it again. It sounds crazy, but my doctor told me that. The bext thing to do is eat your meals, and have healthy snacks throughout the day (like fruit or something). If you eat alot (I mean many times a day, not a TON of food at a time) then your metabolism will get faster because it knows you will feed it regularly and it won't store any calories on your body. It is complicated. You can always meetwithyour pediatrician or doctor to talk to them about your concerns. I know that today's world expects everyone to look perfect, but don't let it get to you in a negative way. I spent 8 years ofmy life trying so hard to loseweight that I missed out on a lot. Back when I was really thin I thought I was fat and would wear baggy clothes to hide my body. If only I had opened my eyes I would have realized how beautiful I was, just like how beautiful you are, and I would have been much more happy.
gurrllll im 11 too i wat 105 pounds and my hand wont fit around my leg anywhere on my leg
