I am 12 years old (turning 13 in 2 months) and I weigh 82kg.I don’t eat junk food,drink soda or anything.I do dancing and I ride my bike but I don’t loose weight.My friend weighs 48kg and she eats unhealthier then me and she is really thin.I don’t eat that much either and have a small appetite.I don’t know what to do because I wear baggy clothes to cover up my tummy.I am very short and I have a wide chest as well.I often worry because I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

Hi there, yes I agree with you that your worries are right, 82Kg is a lot of weight. Your weight has nothing to do with your age, but it is linked to your height. You said that you eat healthily and actively take part in sports too; in that case, I would suggest you consult some endocrinologist and get your thyroid tests done. As you weight gain could be due to hypothyroidism.
