I'm 22, and five and a half months pregnant. I have recently found out that I'm going to have a c-section. due to the fact that I have Crohn's Disease, and have a higher chance of developing a rectal/vaginal fistula (sp?). I'm a little upset and worried, so if you have any helpful or positive info or advice it would be greatly appreciated.
Just had an emergency c section at 34 weeks I was scared to death to have one. But I felt a little pressure when she pulled my son out other then that no problems I was up walking the next day. Taking my iv rack down to the nicu and everything and I never took my pain meds. Now it's been three weeks Lil sore but everything's ok.

The best advice to give would be, try to have someone with you the first 2 or three weeks after. your going to be very sore. and you have to be very careful with bending over and getting up from a sitting or laying position. ( I myself felt like it was gonna rip open. But I'm a chicken ) Just take care of yourself. don't be too active. you wont be able to drive for about two weeks to a month. Also you will want to take an extra pillow with you to the hospital for you stomach. I had a cold when I had my son so I was coughing, and the only way to keep the pain away was to push my pillow into my stomach. I wish you tons of luck, And hope your recovery goes well!
