My doctor recently found alpha-haemolytic streptococcus in my vagina after a swab was done. I am 30 weeks pregnant. I am trying to find out what exactly is alpha-haemolytic streptococcus and how it is caused? Also what risks does this now present for me and my unborn child.
Can you tell me what alpha strep is? What causes it? How dangerous is it?
