ANSWER: It was a weird period.
I spotted for 6 days straight but I got my period the day I was supposed, in full force. I'm assuming the same thing happened to the many many people who posted before me and never answered. It's disappointing and almost feels embarrassing when you get your hopes up so I'm guessing that's why no one else came back to answer.
Some other facts about my "weird period" that may or may not apply to you: -This was month 2 for me of changing my eating habits. I started counting calories and exercising (9round kickboxing!) 2-4 times a week. I had lost about 15lbs when this weird period happened. I found one other article that stated significant weight loss can affect your period; I didn't feel like this applied to me since I wouldn't consider 15lbs significant. However I'm assuming that the 15lbs of fat loss plus muscle gain produced enough changes in my hormones to cause my weird period.
I hope this helps someone in the future.
Baby Dust to everyone.
