Hi. I am a 31 years old man I and I work out sometimes. I jog a little too, and I can say that I have improved drastically in the last six months. I am starting to increase my speeds and I feel healthier than ever. Any advice on the tempo? Should I slow down, or something? Is it ok to run fast?
Well, it is ok, if you don’t overwork yourself. Ironically, you shouldn’t speed with the results. Increase your lengths, and after that speeds. Try not to get enlarged heart.
About the tempo, you could try listening to music while running. Or you could even get a metronome. So run fast as you want but remember: everything is good to some measure, but everything has its limits.
