i have irrital bowl syndrome, is there a cure?
Unfortunately there is no cure for IBS. However, you could always try to manage your symptoms and many people get relief from their symptoms. You will have to put a lot of effort and work with your doctor for the right treatment.
Many people find that stress is worsening their symptoms, so you should work at reducing the stress either by talking to someone or signing up for yoga, pilates or meditation. Many men visit these classes as well, so you shouldn’t think you are the only one.
Other ways that could help reduce the symptoms could be special diet, a supplement and even medicines. If you notice that some of the foods are triggering or aggravating your symptoms, you should then avoid these foods. There is no other way.
There are few prescribed medicines for IBS but if your doctor thinks you may benefit from them, why not give them a shot? Some of the supplements that work are peppermint herbs, prebiotic soluble fibers, probiotics, digestive enzymes, calcium and magnesium, etc
Some people find acupuncture effective, so you should work your way to manage your IBS symptoms. Good luck!
