After the brutal recovery time, is a hemmorrhoidectomy actually worth it?
I havent had a hemorrhoidectomy, but from what I read, it depends on what kind of hemorrhoids you have and how severe they are, and also what kind of hemorrhoidectomy you had.
I have been searching high and far asking the same questions, and wondering how others are doing years later. It is like people come on these boards and then vanish! I would love to read more on how people feel years later and hope people will come and share their stories..

I'm also trying to get answers on if it's worth it.
I've been suffering for 8 years and am sick of the lifestyle restrictions.
My last visit to the CRS several months ago he said no more bandings and if it bothers me again he'll consider PPH surgery.
Well I'm going August 6 for an appointment.

Why PPH as opposed to traditional Hemmorrhoidectomy?
That's what my CRS said the last time he would consider if my butt started bothering me again.
