Hello, I am 45 years old and have had my tubes tied for 18 years. I feel ridiculous for even getting my hopes up at the possibility of being pregnant, because I feel like I should be preparing for menopause instead. I have not had a. regular period in over a year. when I do, they are very painful with severe cramping, bright red for a day, and then brown for three days. for the past week, every evening around the same time when I lay on my back, my uterus tightens and a shape bulges outward and then starts moving on its own. I have been very moody and tired. I don't want to get my hopes up, not sure what to do. any advice? Also, i have had gastric bypass surgery 5years ago, I am not sure if that is relevant. Also with my previous pregnancy tests, they all came back negative because of low hormone levels, until around the 4 or 5 month mark.

Hi! I am 49, had tubal (just clips) in April 2010 during c-section with birth of second son. I have been feeling dizzy, cramps, backache, and 21 days late on period. Took $1 pregnancy test this morning and it was faint positive, but definitely positive. I am worried it will end up being ectopic pregnancy, but hoping not. I would be 50 if viable pregnancy when the baby would be born. I am taking another test tomorrow morning and calling doc. Monday. Good luck to all!!!

Yes it is very possible, My cousin recently found out she was pregnant. She herself also had her tubal ligation about 7 years ago. Another one of my friends also got pregnant after having a tubal, but hers was in her tubes.

I know these posts are old. I had a tubal location 3 1/2 yrs go. For the past few months I've felt nauseas and extremely tired. My hips are starting to go out of alignment. I've only ever felt this way when pregnant with my daughter. I still get a period but it's lighter, irregular, and the color is darker. I've had many urine tests all negative. I tried to get a blood test but they will only do urine dips. I take many medications that can be dangerous. I've also in the last couple weeks started feeling a fluttery feeling in my stomach from my belly button down. If I was pregnant I'd be about almost 4 months. If I press on my stomach I get like a heart beat sensation that's really insistent. Like it really pushes back at your hand which is abnormal for me. I don't know If I have gastritis? Pregnant? Or what?
