I have not had a cigarette in almost 11 days, and i have been smoking for 32 years. Look around and read statistics associated with smoking, that should be some encouragement. Consider your family, your children, your stinky house and cloths, your bad breath, the wrinkles on your face, your yellowing teeth, the overflowing ashtrays in your car, your shortness of breath, anticipation of a cigarette break at work, the price of them, the burn holes in your cloths and possibly in your furniture and carpets, mistakingly burning someone or yourself, falling asleep with a lit one, oxygen strapped to your back, endless amounts of meds to help you breath, freaking out when you notice you have only one puff of your inhaler left and the pharmacy is closed, yellow fingers and nails, having to paint once a year, being a guest in a smoke free home for any amount of time, sore throat, coughing up tar tinged phlgem, affecting others thru second hand smoke, the list is endless, oh i almost forgot, laying in a hospital connected to a life support system while your family waits in sadness for you to die.

Making someone quit smoking is a very difficult thing. It is completely up to the person to quit the habit. One requires a strong will and desire to quit. These are not the only factors.
