Hello folks! I have seen miso around in the Health food shop and I remember having some miso soup at a Japanese restaurant once. I remember the taste being somewhat weird but well, I guess it was not unpleasant. Can anyone tell me if miso is rich in proteins? I am hoping for some replies!
Absolutely. This is what miso is known for and it is very healthy. You are right on the soup - that is what it is traditionally used for. Koreans use miso in broth and curries as well, and that is pretty tasty, only they call it Toenjang instead of miso and it tastes a bit earthier that Japanese miso. There is quite a lot you can do with miso really.
