I usually don't do a lot of exersizing regularly, but I have to take gym this semester at school and we are running everyday. I have taken this class for about a month or two and have only been a little sore and tired, but lately my calfs and ankles have been hurting really bad like they were on fire. It was only happening during gym for a while and would quickly go away but these last few days it has hurt to even walk. I don't know whats wrong and my gym teacher said that it was nothing. What should I do?
It is caused from stressing some of the muscles. If you are not a walker or one that excercises a lot, you are actually using some of the muscles that you never really never paid much attention to. If you started doing some serious sit ups, your stomach muscles would ache, if you started lifting weights, the muscles in your upper arms would ache and so on. The more you work these muscles, the less they will bother you and eventually, you'll be able to walk forever, uphill, with no residual effect at all.
This happens to me when i wear heeled boots, which i don't wear often. My calves will ache for a few days. Just soak in some hot water and maybe use a rub of some kind, your fine.
