You guys have a yeast infection! It's common with antibiotic use. It's worse at night because yeast grows in dark, moist environments. Request Diflucan from your GYN and sleep with no panties or cotton panties only! Anytime I'm prescribed antibiotics, I go ahead and request Diflucan as well

After reading your post I immediately went to check my medical records n I have had the exact same symptoms as you after being treated for a respiratory infection as well and noticed the problem started about 4 days after that. I've had it for about 6 weeks now and have tried all kinds of vaginal creams but it keeps coming back

I've had this issue for many years. Oxyclean and Spray and Wash and other spot cleaners were the problem for me. I had been using Seventh Generation clothes detergent and thought I was OK. So I had to stop using these products and then get the remaining products from my underwear. I soaked my underwear in Seventh Generation detergent, vinegar and baking soda and let it set for awhile, then rinsed over and over again. The itching went away almost immediately. I got a pair of underwear out of my drawer that had not been treated and the itching started again. It has taken about a week for all the wounds to heal but now I am very sure what the trouble has been.

You shouldn't be embarrassed to go to the doctor. The post was a long time ago but just being embarrassed for an hour is a good trade for something that could be much more serious especially if you are bleeding. There are many free clinics that can help you. Don't go it alone!

This is possibly female jock itch. Its treatable with the same medication that male jock itch is treated with. It is a fungal infection. Head and shoulders shampoo will provide quick relief. Keep the area as dry as possible and treat with an antifungal. Virgin coconut oil or black seed oil applied to the area after bathing may also help reduce the itching until it is completely healed.
