My problem started soon after my hysterectomy, too. My Dr.-who performed it-is clueless, says there's nothing wrong. If you find out what is going on, please update.

I have the same problem. I tried Monistat for yeast infections and it cleared it up for about 2 week then it came back. I got tested but im clean. So my mom told me to wash down there with baking soda (arm and Hammer) and it helps the soft peeling and tenderness alot. Just shake some on a rag while u shower and whip. But it will ware off in about 8-10 hours. :( if anyone have a better idea let me know.

It's caused the embalance in the medication. It causes the producing of more yeast than normal and cause the vagina to instead of where it's supposed to be slightly moist, it becomes overly moist and drys out quickly, it causes skin irritation which is what causes the itching and the peeling is the skin letting go to reproduce new and healthier skin. It's a result of your body reacting to the medication, if you're only temporarily on the medication I suggest continuing to tske it until the end of your perscription and keeping your vaginal area slightly lubricated as best as you threw out the day and keeping it lubricated threw out the night and it should clear up on it's on. If you're on the medication for long term I suggest talking to your doctor about a change in perscription, make sure to wipe throurgly and keep your femake area properaly sanitized and hygenic. You can use natural Aloe Verra to calm the burning/itching as well

It could also be from a condition called positive Group B strep which can be found in the vaginal canal and is an infection of sorts. It is treated with Penicillin. There is an organism that can infect the vaginal canal and is called trick for short and it requires an antibiotic. There's also bacterial vaginitis, or BV for short, various yeast infections and the occasional crab or might infection of the vulva lips. All of these are treatable conditions. I recommend you see a gynecologist.

I noticed all around my labia & the inside of my butt cheeks the skin looked pale then a few days later the skin started to fall off it is soft & kind of rolls of in large pieces . Then the horrible itching & burning started ! I couldn't sleep because the pain kept me awake & walking hurt a lot ; going to the bathroom was unbearable . I read a lot of posts on different websites by women who have the same problem , my doctor was of no help so I decided to try a natural approach & it's been 24 hrs & I am almost pain free . It helped me maybe it will help some of you too . I stopped taking baths & showered only in warm water , I switched to Ivory soap , stopped drying genital/buttock area with towels & used hairdryer only , mixed one to two drops of pure tea tree oil with about a tablespoon of pure petroleum jelly ( I mixed it in the palm of my hand ) & spread it all over the painful areas . I shower twice a day & follow the same procedure , after urination or bowel movement I rinse with water & dry areas with hair dryer & reapply tea tee oil & petroleum mixture . I switched to 100% white cotton underware & stopped using harsh detergents & fabric softeners in the laundry . I suspect this started after I took a powerful antibiotic for an animal bite , but I have had dryness down below for a few months now , I just rub petroleum jelly on after bathing & it was always ok until now . I hope this helps you !
