I was bleeding for 52 days before I had a hysterectomy! I had uterine fibroids and Endometrious.. The best thing I ever did...I was hemmoraging the last week of it and I soaked through 15 pads..blood was coming out like water..went to hospital twice! Was confined to bed rest and birth control was FEEDING the fibroids even on double dose...all the doctors gave me the wrong script until a new OB saw me ..said I also had uterine prolapse because of it...I had a hysterectomy and much more intensive surgery done (appendix removed, bowels resection etc) to me. Im just 38 and I'm slender..and yes it runs in my family..my aunt and cousins had hysterectomies.

Im also 50 and was taking the Depo Vera shot which worked wonders but you cant take it for an extended time due to bone marrow lose. I feel for her because it interfers with every aspect of your life together. I wish you the best.
I am 50, bleeding everyday for 3 months!! I have no pain of any kind. I just think its something I have to go through untill I reach full Menopause, Idk. I have not gone to the doctor.

I'm relieved to see I'm not the only one. Iv been on my period since probably Jan 13th. There was one point where it stopped for maybe 3 days but that was it. Haven't made a doc appointment yet since I have just moved to a new state. I am on the Nexplenon but have been on it for about a year and a half now and have not had those issue before. It's taken a toll on me. I'm always so tired and now just dressed. Over it!
Oh my this sounds like me. I am 47, single, no sex, not on contreceptives and I have been bleeding abnormally i.e. daily for 9 weeks now,
Week 1 to 4: Bloody loss initially began as what I thought was a late period, and was not normal, very dark brown, and old blood looking, Eventually tuning into what I consider a normal period ..few days of heavy blood loss, the less then normally we have finished, but it went back to brown dark blood and started smelling very funny odor was almost fishy? No significant pain.
Week 4 to 6: This I let carry on for 2 weeks. I thought it would end but no it then went to full red/dark red some clots but flooding and having to change santary towels every hour. Again funny smell. At this point I saw my GP who ordered blood tests for sugar/anemia/hormone and blood count and urine test as I started having blood in urine aslo (cystitis) awaiting results. My GP could not do an internal too much blood and I was due for a Smear - so nothing from that except being told too much blood. Mild Pain treated with Mefemenic Acid and Tramadol (which I take frequent for ME/CFS pain)
Week .7 I saw another GP who prescribed a pill called Diclofenac Sodium (in UK) 50mg - 3 tabs daily x 28 )to stop the bleeding, which it has not after taking the whole pack religiously. Its is the same as before blood loss/odor and mild clots now not as large which fills a regular pad 4 times a day and night pad 2 of them. Pain remains the same - mild and manageable. All Test results not back and yet to do internal scan next week.
Week 8: No change at all...no more of the Diclofenac Sodium as above, Still bleeding red sometimetimes dark red blood with intermittent small clots...still to heavy and easily use 6 pads a day. I have called my GP today...becuase I now need some answers and other options as it truly is frightening and abnormal. As a precaution I have started taking 400mg of Iron tablets daily to counteract and anemic effects, but feel tired all the time and drained. Fighting it as you do to cary on with normal life.
costing a fortune in pads and knickers and sheets with leaks and so, I am now waiting for my GP to call me with some possible answers maybe something else to try and reassurance . Really fed up with all of it. I did not mention I have M.E and C.F.S on top of all this so its doubly hard in the energy and wanting to sleep all the time. I will update as it happens over the next few months.

I've been on depo for two years n I've been bleeding for two months now doctor said it could be polyps ask ur doctor to check for that
