Hi I need advice. Ive was on OC'S for about 3years then finally I got medical and could get myself into a Sub. Dr. but I've only been on Subs. for about 6months well atleast givin by a Dr. that is, but I was taking about 8mg a day and one day just stoped all together on the 2nd day I went threw bad withdrawls and now it's been 14days and Im not feeling any better I've even went to the hosiptal twice now and basically they just kept telling me it would go away. Im scared cause I can't go to the bathroom. I'm so weak I can barely take care of my 8year son. I don't know what to do or how to make the pain in my stomach go away. I'm losing my mind over this and my sons father thanks because he is a recovering addict that 14day is nothing and that if I go back on Subs. that I can leave my son here and go on with my life on Subs. But my son Is my life thats one of the main reasons why Im trying to get off of this stuiped stuff. If you know anythang that will help me please tell me Im begging for any adive from someone whos been in my shoes. :'( ps If you have any idea on how long this could last please please tell me I've heard so many different answers that im so confused. thank you!!!
I am sorry you are going through this. I am also a mother and know what you mean about your son being your life. I am a young (single) mother and suffer from chronic pain and an auto-immune disease. I can offer no advice about subs or wds, but I do want to offer encouragement and love. I really hope all goes well and your symptoms subside and you are able to overcome this.
8 mg is FAR too much suboxone to one day just stop taking. You need to taper off suboxone by gradually decreasing the dosage down to less than 1 mg per day. At this low of a dosage you can then choose to stop administration. Explain this to your baby's father. It is in fact dangerous for you to stop cold turkey and you will need time to ween off. Period. Contact your doctor that prescribes you the subs and ask him for a decreased dosage schedule. Tell him you need to gradually taper down your dosage until you can safely stop administration. I hope this helps, you need to somehow make you baby's father understand.
you may be constipated narco's do that,if you have not had a bowl movement for 2 weeksyou need to go to the emergency room asap! bowl obstructions will kill you! have you ever tried methadone instead of sub.? I heard sub. withdrawl is bad, my boyfriend was on 2 weeks he was ok the first week then horrible headaches, he went on methadone. So did I , I am 6 days off 100mg. cold turkey for 4 years , I sweat out the toxins in a hot ass shower and drank lots of h20 & cranberry juice. Do not sweat the small stuff, you really need to have your bowls checked NOW!
