Hi. I am a 26 year old female, have been with the same partner for 2 1/2 years now. I have noticed that over the past 6 months or so I have been getting large painful swollen lumps on my labia. At first I thought maybe it was a zit because the very first one I had was able to pop (white stuff came out of it). The ones I'm getting now though I can't pop. They do tend to reoccur in the same spots over again and when they do go away after a day or two there is always a small bump left over there. Then the large painful spot reoccurs. Can anyone tell me what this might be?
I have had a solid lump on my left labia for well over a year. It is the size of a pea. It has not got any bigger for a long while, Neither is it painful. I am 52 years old and menapausal. I am worried about the lump,What could it be?

It doesn’t sound like any familiar STD, so I guess it is not. It doesn’t sound like herpes either since herpes bumps have clear liquid inside of them that may ooze, but later on they become scaly with scabs on top.
These could be inflamed hair follicles infected with bacteria from the skin or ordinary pimples that got big and painful.
However, nothing can be said with certainty until you have it checked. It would be best if you saw a dermatologist, so that s/he could have a look and prescribe you an appropriate treatment.

I had the same thing a cople months ago. I'm 29. Went to dr, he had to numb the area and cut it open to drain. said it was like a cyst or some infection I asked what came out he said mostly blood.
Your prob could also be from a Bartholems cyst. Search that online
hope this helps

Hi all =)

Well I'm not sure if this is what you all are talking about, but in relevance to this post I thought I'd link you guys to this other board: https://www.steadyhealth.com/labia_lump-t70320-0-asc-0.html

Truth be told I just found this site by googling "labia bump" b/c I'd just found a pea-sized, stable lump on my right labia as well and I was worried. From what I read at the other board it's probably a benign "bartholin cyst" and if you think you have it you should consult your doctor immediately for a cream treatment. It looks 100% treatable with the cream and I'm just happy it's not cancer (especially with me being 17 and all). :P

But I'll be sure to report back when I get back from my Planned Parenthood STD test and seperate doctor's appointment ASAP. Happy holidays everyone, and keep your heads up, okay ladies? This too will pass. =)
