I had a lapidus bunionectomy a little over 2 weeks ago, and in the last 2 days, my ankle and foot feel very swollen in the cast. I have my 2-week visit in 2 days to remove stitches and X-ray. I’ve iced regularly, keep foot elevated most of the day. I expect swelling as part of the healing process, but this is really uncomfortable. I had to go to the podiatrist 3 days ago so they could bivalve the cast to accommodate the swelling. I’m worried. Any others with similar stories?
