First of all, you take anti-depressants for a reason, they are made to help you. You, yourself, knew the risk when you started taking it, all medications are addictive and all antideppressants have side effects when coming off. You people who want law suits are doing nothing but costing this country money, Insurance cost increase for families, and cost increase for pharmaceutical companies to fight people like you. Obviously you need something stronger than Cymbalta, maybe you should trying praying to God and asking for the strength to get off by yourself. Only God can help anyone who asks. Suing the company will not do anything and you are WRONG for even suggesting it.
No you arent wrong for suggesting suing Eli Lilly! Cymbalta put me in the ER 3 times and could've easily put me in the hospital. Cymbalta is a DANGEROUS drug and needs to be stopped
Paroxetine, prozac, paxil, cymbalta, effexor, they all have the brain shiver withdrawal, what can you do? i mean we are all crzy got to take something i want to know where i and how i can get lily to help me pay for my medicatio or send me some of it this med is expensive
Actually Paxil and Prozac do not cause brain zaps because they are a totally different class of drugs. Cymbalta on several occasions has actually cut off a persons ability to feel pain
The drug didnt even make it thru the FDA testing. 4 people commited suicide on the withdrawal study and the rest quit after that happened. The drug should NOT be on the market
Thanks.

My with drawls were severe, i had a seizure, extreme liver damage, now i have a spot on my brain that is not right. i was always hot, severe headaches, i even heard that it could cause problems with your heart. Still going thru with drawls, went cold turkey, ended up having a seizure, my doc took me off cold turkey, and i felt like i was going to die, wished i would go to sleep and not wake up.
I had a heart attack, then a few days after the doc took me off cold turkey, my heart was racing, chest pains, hot flashes, severe head aches, I wish that i had been weaned off. i went to the fire station, and my blood pressure was extremely high so i ended up in the hospital again for 5 days. Its a horrible drug to get off.
How bad was your liver damage? Is it ongoing? Were you taking meds for migraines @ the time, by any chance?Don't mean to pepper you with all these questions. just trying to compare it to my own experience.
Thanks.
Here is documentation of the dirty little secret between LILLY and FDA. Half of the United State Baby Boomer population has liver damage or undiagnosed hepatitus that doesn't show up on lab tests so Dr.s ignore the problem and patients don't know they have it. I swear they are trying to kill of the older drug consuming public and I am sure they are pumping this c**p out to vets like candy with their physical and emotional injuries. Its an easy way to get kill off a loud screwed over (as usual) vet population. Don't believe me...they think I have paranoid tendancies now that I coming off the drug and in complete misery with liver failure, heart failure, and probably brain damage.

As bad as it is for you and I know it is, it could have been worse. My son-in-law yielded to one of the known side effects, suicidality. He had it for months and kept telling his doctor and my daughter about it. The doctor kept changing the dose and added Abilify along with the Cymbalta. He had the zaps, crying jags, stomach problems and was tortured by this medication before he ended it all. We are still crying every day for our loss. My grandkids are now 10 and 12 and will be forever denied a great father because Eli Lilly finds it more important to make a lot of money from Cymbalta and other killer drugs. ***this post is edited by
