Left side of throat hurts

I am having the same pain on the left side of my throat, right on the tonsil. I looked in there with a flash light and could see white like heads that look like pimples . They hurt and also cause my voice to be horse....Please help!!!

Wow I didn't know how many people have the same pain as myself! I feel like it's taking control. I'm also an ocassional smoker and even if i smoke a single cigarette the pain the next day feels like death thats crazy 1 cigarette??? Then the oain goes to the middle of my ear and chest. I have to take strong pain killers. very strong! These are the only things that help me feel normal. I was reading another post and someone said they had what they said looked like little soars on there tonsills i had the same thing they looked really white and seemed like it was little hole or tiny craters on the left side of my throat. What can this possibly be. Does anyone know????

I'm Only 13. I have the same problums sore on the left side but with a slight head ache. I'm not running fever but I'm scared. I am a second hand smoker by my parent does any one know what it is or how to get rid of It. I'm a singer and I've noticed I can't anymore Can you help me?

omg ... your kidding me! I went to the Dr with a pain in my neck. It started at the jaw and ran down the left side from my ear down. Apparently it is sinusitis caused by allergies. What a relief. I am so happy to have been diagnosed I cannot possibly share the relief I feel!

This is so gay, Im 18 and my left tonsil started hurting a few days ago. I thought i was sick. But when i googled it. It seems alot of people have this problem. I dont what the hell we did to f**k up a tonsil.

See CUNODANTE's postings. It's what makes more sense. I seem to be completely relieve from the symptoms. I believe the major factor was the fact that I no longer speak in public as often as I used to and that and my throat got plenty of rest. I only get the sore throat here and there, but nothing like the pain on the throat that I used to have about a year ago.

I'm having the exact same thing. Pain on the left side of my throat. It happens to hurt every time I swallow. It's irritating.. I don't smoke so if any of you smokers is wondering, it's not that. Most likely.

it is from something getting stuck in ur glands and it will take a while for it to push its self out the only thing you people can do is wait no medicine no pain killer nothing will stop the pain and it will usually last a week or so some times longer and it hurts like hell hurts to swallow but theres nothing you can do but wait

I have the same thing a pain on the left handside of my throat it feels like a lump of steak is stuck there. After about 3 days of trying heatburn tablets and not feeling comfortable when I ate, my husband looked down my throat ,couldnt see anything at first but then I saw diagonaly on the left side yellow pus on the side very difficult to see tongue is in the way .So Steve took me to the hospital ,Drs couldnt see itat first,. but I showed them myself . The Dr said I have tonsilitus and has perscribed me antibiotics . This is day 8 and I still have pain on the left handside as if food stuck there. Day 4 of antis and this awful rolling pain that stabs me in throat . Dont know if this could help anyone ?

I have it on the right side, same feeling as everyone else. Except when i feel just under my jaw where the pain is, i can feel a lump. BUT,

I'v recently gone for a cancer checkup because i have lumps on my neck and on my groin. I had a biopsy done (and lots of bloods taken), where they surgically removed one of the lumps on my groin. The results came back clear and said i am cancer free.

A few days later i got a sinus infection, and that's been going on for about a week now. Now my sinus infection is starting to ease, and i'm getting this sore throat thing. It seems alot of people here have suffered from a sinus infection before they got this sore throat, so i'm guessing that has something to do with it. I'm 18 years old, i keep myself fit and i don't smoke.

So personally, i wouldn't worry about having cancer. Anyways, Cancer lumps don't hurt, most cancer lumps don't give off ANY pain whatsoever. So honestly i wouldn't worry about it being cancer. However, i have had this before and it went by itself after a few days. I'd say it's nothing to worry about, just stay strong until it goes. If you are really worried though, go to your doctor. I'm sure it's nothing though :) Hope i helped.
