A good remedy for cramps is cold packs, place some ice or cold gel packs on muscle and feel better...and I do get cramps after having some wine. Good luck

i think driving after five vodka redbulls might be more problematic than some leg pain, no?

I had this problem for so long. And I didn't know why and how to solve it. But then i went to the doctor.

The reason is dehydration. DRINK WATER ALL THE TIME. After drinking, before drinking, when not evendrinking alcohol.

It's two days since I went out binge drinking, and I am literally walking around like a cripple, I have severe pain in my left calf muscle, and in my right thigh. I am pretty sure I did not fall over when I was out , but I feel as if I have been run over by a truck I can't even go out as I can't walk. I have had this pain in my legs before after drinking, and it's awful. Once I had pain in my lower back on either side like my kidney area that left me crippled for about 3 days.

This drinking is deadly, I have got to quit, people look on it as good times, but when you have to pay the price with your health, it's not worth it. I also giving up smoking, between them both I am like a old man in my 30s. And one always leads to the other for me, which is why I was never able to quit them, as I kept doing the other one.

My advice for people suffering often from either smoking or drinking, change your lifestyle, I mean really change it from the ground up,give yourself one year to get healthier. Quit the fags and booze, start eating healthier, start working out, or walking 3 times a week or more for half hour and build up from there. If you are heavy, lose the weight, the transformation from doing all this, is amazing, I know because I done it for 3 months, I never had a drink or a smoke for 3 months, and I felt like a new man. But something lead me back to the drink which I will not get into now, and that lead me back to smoking, and it was a one way trip into years of awful health for me since.

I know how it feels to be laid up for days with hangovers from hell, I know the mental and physical pain involved, quit for yourself, so you can get your life back, there is a different and better life out there waiting for you if you fight for it. You have to really want it, and I want it now, I am sick and tired of always being sick and tired. Enough is enough, I believe a person is better off dead than living in a never ending state of hangovers, withdrawal and so on, I think it's like torture, a living hell. You either accept this is your life, and die defeated in pain, or you fight back and regain your self respect and inner happiness and peace, I chose to fight back. I am not going out like this. I've seen so many people go out like this, I will not be one of them with Gods help.

Adrenal insufficiency or autonomic nervous system dysfunction. I have them both and I get the same symptoms. Live drug and alcohol free. There is no way around it.

I've also had this problem for years, I'm 60, when drinking white wine or eating chocolate before bed. I thought it was the sugar in the wine causing the problem. The pain on top of my feet, cramps in my toes, near my ankles and lower shins became so excruciating that I was able to give up the wine, which I love, because I wanted to avoid the pain which I knew would follow during the night. The doctor had no answers and the blood tests showed nothing abnormal. I was about 30 pounds overweight, which I lost when I went on a diet on which I drank a gallon of water per day and also gave up caffeine altogether. The cramping has stopped and I feel great. I do believe that the problem was the fact that I didn't drink enough water prior to this diet, very little as a matter of fact. I do believe that is the culprit!

I just turned 33 years old on December 23 2013.I would say I been about a 6 to 12 pack dude every other day for the past few years.I recently started a new low carb diet(which clearly states no alcohol) on about January 10.I was doin ok with everything till about a week ago and started back drinking.I m saying all of this because I do believe it has something to do with a lack of nutrients being that it has never happened before.Another thing is im mostly a beer drinker and only occasionally drink something stronger.I started drinking last thursday night and its now a week from that day.I took one day off from drinking throughout that period.(A lot of budlight, few days with gin and few days with vodka)Woke up about monday feeling like I slept on my tiptoes all damn night and pain is still in my left leg.Its enough to make me quit well at least till I lose 75 more pounds.

Try some saline(salty drink) so as to release and regulate the lymph system,as its pressing on the calf nerves.

Alcohol dehydrates and increases the production of lactic acid within the body. Apparently, leg pain is a common symptom, and one which I also suffer from. Apparently drinking lots of water prior to going to bed after a few bevvies and carbohydrates consumed the next day can be helpful, although I haven't noticed any significant impact.

The leg cramps are related to oxidative stress: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/12679934
